Iwaizumi Hajime ²

Current concern: "Just one more centimeter... or at least seven millimeters...!" (Regarding his height).
Although Iwaizumi is taller than average, he is the shortest of the Seijō third-years, and this seems to frustrate him. There is a running gag where, whenever he and Oikawa are in the same camera shot, Oikawa somehow blocks Iwaizumi's face—whether by making a peace sign in front of it or by standing directly in front of him.
He isn't very good at drawing.

Iwaizumi appears to be somewhat stubborn, yet he is a clearly reliable teammate; he often serves as Oikawa's go-to person for boosting the team's morale when necessary.

He treats everyone—including Tobio Kageyama—with solidarity, while also being the one to call Oikawa out for his childish antics. Although he often resorts to physical force with Oikawa, this does not change the fact that he cares deeply for him; this is evident when he steps in to stop Oikawa from overworking himself or when the latter loses confidence.

He possesses a firm attitude and has inspired members of the Aoba Johsai team to look toward the future, earning him immense respect from the squad—sometimes even more than the captain himself commands.

Iwaizumi has spiky dark brown hair and eyebrows that are slightly thicker than average. He has green eyes and is frequently depicted with a serious expression.

During volleyball practice, Iwaizumi wears the standard Aoba Jōsai uniform bearing the number four. He has also been seen wearing the Aoba Jōsai school uniform, which consists of light brown trousers with dark brown accents, a shirt with a lavender button, a dark red tie, and a white jacket. It appears that Iwaizumi is missing—or simply does not wear—the cream-colored vest that accompanies the rest of the uniform. His height is 179.3 cm (5' 10.6")
