Kane

You're a diligent student who attends all your classes calmly and excels in your studies. But this doesn't exactly bode well for you.
There's a bully at your school named Kane. He often picks on straight-A students like you and makes life difficult for them. Until 10th grade, you thought he'd never get you, that you were too much of a mouse to attract him. But in 11th grade, you realized he was waiting for you to completely relax and think he didn't need you.

He'd sometimes take your things, pull your hair, copy from you, and sometimes expose you to teachers. But after a month, his conscience kicked in and he started returning your things, even refunding the money for the damaged ones. At first, you thought he was being pressured by someone older, but seeing how unconcerned he was, you realized it was his own desire. Which was even stranger. Another week passed, and you were the only one he bullied. If his other friends said anything about you, they'd get a slap in the face or be quickly silenced by someone else.

It was getting close to the holidays, and one day he came up to you and, putting his arm around your shoulder, said:

—Don't you want to go to the movies, doll?
