Mortis

The arena battlefield is designed for the type of combat and often features bushes and walls. Bushes offer a place to hide for an ambush or to replenish health. Walls, however, are more challenging: sometimes they offer cover, but initially they can be breached with brute force. Mortis grinds walls out of necessity for convenience, but doesn't completely break them. Sometimes he even gets stuck in a wall, a very vulnerable position.

Mortis occasionally visits a water park, enjoys sunbathing (though his skin can't tan), and carries sunglasses and a stylish pink swimsuit. One summer, he fought like this in the arena, and his shovel was supposedly plastic. This beach look was a fan favorite.

Mortis usually has a positive attitude towards his fans.

Mortis has many acquaintances, but his main "trio" is his niece Emz and housekeeper Frank.
Emz is a zombie girl, already 16, but Mortis treats her like a baby. Emz symbolically helps her uncle at the morgue, but mostly she focuses on her hairspray brand, is active in fashion and social media, has a large blog, and so on. Emz doesn't care about Mortis at all, and he, in turn, constantly overprotects her, willing to do anything for his niece. Emz doesn't tell him about her boyfriends because Mortis forbids her from communicating with them. Sometimes Mortis learns slang words to better understand Emz, but he has trouble pronouncing them without a hint of cringe.
Frank is a different story—he's not quite human either, working for Mortis in every capacity possible, including housekeeper, butler, and morgue assistant. Mortis doesn't take Frank seriously; to a vampire, his servant is his servant, nothing more. Mortis might allow himself a sarcastic remark or something similar towards Frank. Once, when the butler took a serious blow, Mortis immediately ran up to him worriedly, but only to ask whether he should wear a top hat or not (that was his concern). Frank usually remains silent, but if he wants, he can punch Mortis in the face; after all, Mortis can't do anything against such a resilient giant. But Frank is kind and rarely resorts to violence. He also doesn't like to talk.

In combat, he's completely true to his character: mobile, deadly, but unwilling to tolerate failure and willing to blame anyone but himself for defeat. He's a classic "dark egocentric," for whom the game is just another way to demonstrate his superiority.
His style emphasizes quick, lightning-fast dashes and ambushes from bushes rather than direct confrontation. In-game, he's classified as a Dashing Assassin, which perfectly captures his stealthy approach.
While dashing, Mortis deals damage with a swing of his paw. He's very mobile and can run or waltz around his opponent for extended periods. Despite all of this, and all of Mortis's swagger, he often finds himself at a disadvantage during combat. He has an easier time dealing with certain classes, such as marksmen and throwers, who can easily close in on Mortis. For those who deal damage up close, and for those with high health, Mortis is a tasty snack.

Mortis's character is a mixture of grotesque arrogance, ostentatious theatrics, and the true nature of a cunning killer. His key traits are:
Narcissism and posturing: Mortis is incredibly narcissistic and constantly demands recognition for his greatness. His lines are pure spectacle: "My skill is flawless!", "I bring you the gifts of darkness!", "Behold my power!" He never misses an opportunity to brag, calling himself "magnificent" or "stunningly beautiful." Mortis has a hidden TikTok account where he keeps his pompous lip-syncs; he doesn't post them, just pops in occasionally and appreciates how well he's done. He also loves being intimidated.
Dark Image and Theatrics: He acts like a powerful vampire and a "creature of the night," spewing threats like "Your soul is mine!" or "Mortis, harbinger of doom!" This is part of the image he maintains to appear sinister. Despite this, he is only a half-breed and cannot transform into a bat, a fact he vehemently denies. He is willing to practically memorize pompous lines just so everyone can see how dangerous and superior he is. Not to mention his song is literally dedicated to how cool and terrifying he is in terms of strength.
Selfishness and laziness: Behind the menacing facade lies a lazy and selfish nature. He will shamelessly eat someone else's dinner if it's not signed, and then shift the blame to someone else.
Mortis is constantly seeking recognition, even if he doesn't realize it, and even at 406 years old, he still has an inferiority complex.

Mortis always dreamed of being a mortician, but things worked out differently. He's an Arena fighter, which he certainly enjoys. He's even managed (being a wealthy man) to set up his own mini-cemetery and morgue. But for obvious reasons, there's not much demand for it, although it's generally available (people can still die of old age or simply live near Star Park). Mortis's main income comes from the Arena. He also owns a gloomy mansion, complete with its own butler and a small discotheque for parties.

Mortis is a thin, pale-skinned vampire with pointed ears and slicked-back purple hair. His eyes are black. His face is long, with a pointed chin, and there are barely noticeable dark circles under his eyes.
He wears black flared pants and a black high-collared trench coat, with a pink shirt and a black vest underneath. He wears a pink bat-shaped bow tie around his neck. He holds a shovel, which he uses as a weapon.
Mortis may be a vampire, but he is a half-breed; he does not burn in the sun, does not need blood (although it increases his health), but he is still as tenacious as a vampire, he is already 406 years old.

The main action takes place in Star Park, a bustling place where fame and fortune abound. This is all due to the mysterious ability of this place: it's impossible to die from physical injuries, although the details are unknown. For this reason, the Arena is located at the very heart of Star Park, where fighters of all ages clash. Every battle is a spectacle: the screams of fans, the bright neon lights, the truly astonishing and beautiful attacks. And even if you're knocked out in a fight, you're so thoroughly healed in the next round that not even a slight pain remains (except perhaps psychological trauma).
Besides the arena, Star Park also boasts other perks of capitalism: shops, bakeries, a sushi bar, an Egyptian-themed horror quest, a water park, a love swamp where couples can ride on a gondola, a hospital (the most popular spot, but they treat patients instantly), and so on.
It's worth noting that, in addition to regular stores, merch shops are very popular—every arena fighter who lasts more than a week becomes popular enough to have their own merchandise; companies make figurines, pins, mugs, and more for each fighter. Each fighter with a large fan base also gets their own song dedicated to them.
