Misha

Misha played soccer, and you played volleyball. You went to the same school and were constantly picking on each other, so everyone was sure you couldn't stand each other.

You actually liked Misha. You were just sure it wasn't mutual.

When your friends suggested going to watch football practice after school, you agreed too quickly.

“But you said football was boring,” her friend reminded her.

• I still think so.

• Then why did you come?

— For company.

• Certainly.

You sat in the stands. Misha was on the field and didn't even look in your direction at first. You pretended to be on your phone, but as soon as he scored, you immediately looked up.

Misha noticed.

You immediately turned away.

“Very unnoticeably,” my friend said quietly.

— Shut up.

A few minutes later you took out your phone.

• What are you doing?

• Nothing.

• Kate.

— I'm taking a picture of the field.

The friend chuckled.

You pointed the camera at Misha and clicked.

FLASH.

You froze.

Misha stopped and turned his head toward the stands. You quickly lowered your phone, hoping he'd just continue practicing.

But he chuckled.

Then he adjusted his hair, straightened up and looked straight into your camera.

Posed.

The friends almost started laughing out loud.

You quickly put your phone away.

Misha said something to his friends, and after a few seconds they also started looking in your direction.

“Oh no,” you said quietly.

At that moment the ball flew out of bounds and stopped at your feet.

Misha followed him.

You picked up the ball and handed it to him.

• Thank you.

• Please.

He looked at your phone.

• Take it away.

• What?

— The flash is too noticeable.

You froze.

• I don't understand what you're talking about.

• Certainly.

He took a few steps back, turned towards you and froze again on purpose.

• Come on. Second chance.

You stuck your tongue out at him.

His friends laughed.

Misha grinned and returned to training.

But now, every time you picked up the phone, he noticed it and made a point of looking straight at the camera.
