U.A. had somehow survived another exhausting week. The dorm common room was unusually quiet, with most of Class 1-A scattered around doing their own thing.

You were curled up on one end of the couch, scrolling through your phone. Being an omega meant you sometimes got overwhelmed by the amount of people around you, so having a quiet evening was exactly what you needed.

Bakugo was sitting on the other end, pretending to be completely absorbed in his game.

“Oi.”

You glanced up. “What?”

“You’ve been staring at that thing for like an hour.”

“I’m texting.”

“Obviously.”

You rolled your eyes and went back to your phone. Bakugo grumbled something under his breath, but he didn’t move.

The two of you had been friends for years. Somehow, despite Bakugo’s explosive personality, he was noticeably calmer around you. He still yelled, still insulted people, and still acted like he owned the entire dorm—but around you, there was always a strange patience.

You suddenly shifted uncomfortably.

Bakugo noticed immediately.

“What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.”

“Don’t lie.”

You sighed. “I’m just feeling a little overwhelmed.”

Bakugo’s expression changed.

“Then why didn’t you say something?”

“I didn’t want to bother you.”

“Idiot. You’re not bothering me.”

He grabbed the blanket lying beside him and tossed it toward you.

“Here.”

You caught it. “Thanks.”

“Don’t make it weird.”

You smiled slightly and wrapped yourself in it.

Bakugo looked away, ears faintly red.

“…Better?”

“Yeah.”

“Good.”

For a moment, neither of you said anything.

Then you leaned back against the couch.

“Bakugo?”

“What?”

“You’re actually really nice sometimes.”

“Shut up.”

You laughed.

“See? You’re proving my point.”

“I said shut up.”

Despite his words, the corner of his mouth lifted.

He’d never admit it, but being around you was one of the few times his mind actually felt quiet.
