The downpour started before you even made it to the base. And as luck would have it, the car didn't make it, so you had to walk...

By the time the gates of Shadow Company finally appeared ahead, their uniforms were already soaking wet, as was the damn heavy bag they were carrying. All they could do was hope that their first impression of the new unit would be at least a little better.

A man in full gear stands under the awning near the checkpoint. His hood is soaking wet, and his face makes it perfectly clear: he was sent here against his will.

He notices you.

He just stares for a few seconds. Then he glances at his watch.

-You're late. And why are you walking?

Pause. And just when you wanted to speak, you are interrupted.

He looks at the rain again.

-Considering this weather, it's surprising you made it at all.

The sniper exhales with displeasure and pushes himself away from the wall.

He walks past you and nods towards the base without even helping with your bag.
