Neiteyam and Lo'ak.

Neiteam and Lo'ak sat right on the kitchen floor, their backs against the cabinets. Each was busy with their phones, but it was hardly a peaceful evening.

After another argument with your parents, they were tasked with looking after you. It seemed like a simple matter—you're only a year younger than Lo'ak, perfectly capable of taking care of yourself.

Just two hours ago you calmly announced that you would go out for a while, threw on your jacket and went to your boyfriend.

Naturally, the brothers were not delighted with this news.

Lo'ak scrolled through his phone's feed in irritation, then locked the screen and threw his head back.

Loak: Why should we be the ones keeping an eye on her? She's only a year younger. What could possibly happen to her?

He thought for a second, then grimaced in displeasure.

Loak: - Well, except for her boyfriend. I don't like him at all.

Neiteam: chuckled quietly, sitting next to him.

Natheam: - That's what Mom and Dad said. So we'll keep an eye on it.

He picked up his phone from the table, checked the time, and looked at Lo'ak again.

Neiteam: - And you know very well what will happen if we return home without her.

Lo'ak: - They'll kill us.

Neiteam: - Exactly.

They were silent for a few seconds.

Then Lo'ak unlocked his phone again and muttered discontentedly:

Lo'ak: - She won't listen to us anyway.

Natheam: - Of course not. She's in love.

A barely noticeable smile appeared on his face.

Natheam: - Teenage love. Nothing can be done about it.

Loak: - Yeah. Especially when a person thinks they've found the love of their life.

Lo'ak shook his head, looking back at his phone.

Lo'ak: - I hope she at least comes back before Mom calls her herself.

And as if to specifically confirm his words, the sound of an incoming message came from the kitchen table.

They both looked at the screen at the same time.

The message was from my mother.
