The place of a thousand doors
380
Doors, Doors.. and more Doors isn't that what the game is named?
You're lost in this infinite hotel with this random guy (he never told you his name so let's call him Doors man?) until you find this strange door with a skull lock and two chains in room 60, luckily you have 3 skeleton keys and 2 lockpicks before walking into the... office?
The Archives appears as a vast, mysterious archival complex composed of numerous sections and rooms, Its environments feature a more refined, atmospheric design with predominantly blue tones, alongside archival spaces, storage areas, and various scattered documents and objects. Different sections are marked by distinct lettered door numbers, giving the area the appearance of an expansive facility dedicated to preserving forgotten information and memories. The subdued lighting and unusual surroundings create an eerie, secluded ambience, fitting its role as the place where forgotten memories are kept.
The subfloor also introduces new features such as water dispensers, computer keyboards, escalators, vending machines and a waiting system. There are also plenty of cupboards around that will serve as hiding places, with some being damaged and presumably unusable. all of the cabinets may contain shelves and items such as file holders that are required to be removed before players can actually hide in them.
The Guy (Door's man if you really wanna call him that) is searching for batteries for his flashlight
galaxy note
A Samsung advertisement features the text "Say hi to the new Galaxy Note".
A YouTube user named George Harris SR replies with a simple "Hi".
"say hi to the new galaxy note"
George harris SR: "Hi"
the pfp of George harris features a simple white silhouette of a person's head and shoulders set against a solid color background (in this case, green).
this really doesn't have a purpose unless this is like some sort of advertisement on a tv in the metro
Portrait
look in a mirror for too long or say bloody Mary next to a mirror for it to just break out of the mirror, it doesn't do anything it just copy's your movements.
it kinda just looks like a bunch of paper crushed into the shape of a human with two black dot eyes
curious light
After dying in any subfloor, Curious Light appears as a four-pointed star at the top of the player's screen while emitting a bright yellow light in an otherwise pitch black room surrounded by water.
When lighting up an area of progression, Curious Light appears to be a simple glowing, yellow aura with small yellow sparkles emitting from it.
honcho prays to it apparently
the end
at the end theres gonna be a giant portion of the room missing, on the floor there's a briefcase on top of the stairwell (a gift that let's you hold 3 extra items in one) and at the end of a stairwell there's a yellow glowing door that takes you back to the hotel. also in the pitch black void with nothing but water on the floor there's a glowing yellow star in the sky (Curious light)
the rain pours down from nowhere since we are in some place similar to space
Doors man (teammate)
Doors Man wears a red beanie over his brown hair, a black t-shirt under his red flannel and sports typical jeans and boots. Alongside this he has earrings and a cross necklace.
Hiding places
cupboards that will serve as hiding places, with some being damaged and presumably unusable. all of the cabinets may contain shelves and items such as file holders that are required to be removed before players can actually hide in them.
or you can hide in plain sight by going behind objects
this is important
Fih
Fih are deorative entities. They appear in Fih Tanks across the Archives, and are based on fish. Through the Journal, Fih are implied to be (or similar to) plastic toy fish rather than real fish. Several rooms in the archives contain Fih Food, which can be given to them for an achievement that unlocks their journal entry. Fih are implied to be (or similar to) plastic toy fish rather than real fish. Several rooms in the archives contain Fih Food, which can be given to them
currents (not an entity!)
Currents are hazards that are encountered starting in sector C. They appear as puddles of water scattered next to outlets on the floor, and electric currents surge through them at a constant rate. The electric currents deal damage to the player if they are standing in a puddle when they go through the water, and the puddles make your player slide a little bit. This makes it very difficult to change direction when moving through the puddles. The only way to avoid being electrocuted by currents is going through the puddles between the currents' arrival.
Alma
Alma resembles a humanoid figure that looks like a mature adolescent. She is entirely in grayscale and surrounded by black shadows. She has extremely pale, grimy skin, black hair, and glowing white eyes that appear to be weeping a sort of white substance. It can be found in the archives with a high probability after Sector B? Feels more like after the executive office.
Alma's room is very dark. Players walk into the room onto a small upper level that wraps around half the room. Alma can be seen sitting in the center of the room, surrounded by what seem to be dead Drones, under a single light. When any player walks down the stairs and onto the floor that Alma is on, Alma will look at the player, before disappearing.
When Alma becomes enraged, it will become aggressive and attempt to dash at the player, doing this about 3-4 times before disappearing. If Alma catches the player with a dash or they enter a closet, you have to struggle to not look at her face or she rips off your face.
scribbles
They appear to be made from a cluster or sheets of papers. In addition to this, several papers with eyes or faces scribbled on them have been seen scattered around in parts of The Archives. These are likely indicators of the entity(ies), and are possibly parts of it or them, or are just simply papers that were drawn by the entity(ies).
Scribbles will spawn after opening a door that leads to a special room. This room is always covered in papers that scribbles has drawn on. After opening the door, every players screen will begin to shake for a couple seconds before scribbles comes from the front doorways
While scribbles passes by, it will fling papers across the entire room. If a player is in it's line of sight, they will take damage at a fast rate, most likely from paper cuts.
Standing behind a wall, large enough pillar, or hiding in a closet are all viable options to avoiding this entity.
discoloration
Discoloration takes the appearance of a white splat-like thing with black circles on it as eyes.
Discoloration makes your screen lack any color. If it appears alongside Alma, it will make it deal double damage. It's not known yet if it can buff any more entities.
Bash
the entity is presented in an overwhelming crimson hue, matching the description of a "more red" face. The key features are intense and dramatic: eyes that burn with blinding, fiery energy, dynamic and complex fire effects, and a wide maw filled with glowing teeth. The facial structure is defined, but the color saturation is extremely high, dominating the scene.
you must simply stay out of its way. This entity does not 1 shot either, but rather set you on fire and kill you in a short period of time. This gives you time to get in a locker before the fire that Bash emits kills you.
Teller
This entity appears to be a humanoid with its head being a TV monitor with a skeletal jaw hidden underneath that is only revealed when it interacts. On the top of its head are electrical plugs connected by wires hanging down, in a way that resembles hair. It wears a dark trenchcoat, and its right hand being a ticket puncher It appears to have a base with casters in place of its legs, possibly similar to an office chair. Its head displays a number with the text "Now serving" above it.
When a player walks up to Teller, it will print a ticket in it's mouth, take it out, and hold it out to the player. The player must take this ticket. If multiple people are present, Teller will print out each players respective ticket one at a time. Each ticket printed will always be a higher number then the last. Once every player has a ticket, Teller will move out of the way and stand next to the door. Every time a new numbered door is opened, Teller will move through it and go stand next to the next numbered door, then increase a number on it's screen. Every roof or wall monitor will also show the number that Teller has. Once Teller reaches a number that a player has on their ticket, it will stand in front of the next numbered door instead of standing beside it. Teller's screen will then start to fill with a red color over the course of (unknown) seconds. The player with the same number ticket as Tellers number must hand over their ticket to Teller. If the ticket is not handed over by the time Tellers screen is fully red, Teller will chase the player. The player can hide in a closet to avoid Teller if Teller is in chasing mode.
Forget-me-nots
They appear as clusters of blue vines that entirely cover and block the doorway, featuring light blue flowers with yellowish eyeballs with a larger, main one in the center of the door. A blue vegetation similar to grass or thorns is noticeably on the floor in front of them.
Its flowers can also emerge from walls or ceiling around the door it is covering, which can grow and shrink.
Forget-Me-Not is an entity that has a mini-game similar to that of Exit-8, where the player must memorize a completely normal room, then traverse through multiple rooms while checking if anything in them has changed or not.
Each player must look around the room and try to spot any differences from the room they are in. If something is different from the real room, the player should backtrack. If nothing has changed, the player should move forth. If the player tries to go back when nothing changed, or go forth when something has changed, Forget-Me-Not will use its flowers to bite the player, taking away a good chunk of health. The total number of rooms you need to go through is not known, but assumed to be between 3-4. When the player enters Forget-Me-Not's actual room, it will resemble a metro station. Forget-Me-Not will be blocking the way through the next door. To pass through, you will need to look at 6 of Forget-Me-Not's little flowers that are scattered through the room. Once done, the big flower on the door that Forget-Me-Not is blocking will dissapear.
Drones
Drones take forms of shadowy-like figures in completely black and chalky silhouettes, varying in either a masculine, feminine, or neutral form, and are mostly seen idling in a casual stance, animated with two frames or more. They emit a circular soft shadow beneath them. Atleast two of the same instances can spawn in the same room. Their faces are made up of colorful sticky notes that may have simply drawn facial features, either eyes, a nose, and/or a mouth arranged to represent their face, with some of the sticky notes being blank.
Some of them may have less sticky notes only covering fewer features, while some may have a cluster amount with a complete set of features or at an excessive amount such as an additional eye.
literally just stay away from them or you get attacked. they initially start appearing in rooms individually, and gradually increase in groups as players progress through rooms, possibly being indicators of an attack. they will knock the player over dealing 5 damage and laughing in their face. Throughout the game when the clock strikes 5:00 and 9:00, a hoard of Drones will rush through the room dealing 35 damage, leave footsteps on the player's face and trampling the player. They will not go out of their way to hurt the player.
Ransom
Ransom's main initial appearance is a pixelated, monochromatic face that is heavily distorted. Its eyes are fully black, and it appears to be looking slightly upwards. However it can contort its face to a gaping, horrifying face straightforward at the player when attacking.
Its other notable appearance is a red, octagonal stop sign with a similar style to it, being pixelated and static.
It can appear through computer screens, most likely being indicators of its arrival. it downloads a virus, the virus plays strange virus music and it won't let you use any items for 1 minute along with a bunch of pop ups on your screen. pay it 500 coins within that 1 minute or else it takes 80 health. giving it 500 coins gives you a green message that says thank you
Honcho
Honcho appears as a flat humanoid creature seemingly made of paper (or possibly cardboard) wearing a light blue casual with a white collar and sleeves seemingly rolled up, a blue tie, dark blue pants held up by brown straps, and brown shoes. It also has visible staples on its arms, likely resembling cartoonish arm hair. The limbs and torso can also bend and lightly fold in defining angles and are able to express flexible movements. Its legs are notably either folded horizontally inward, or have a piece attached behind it by the middle, likely for the entity to keep balance.
Its most prominent feature is its face and/or head, being a distinctive black square with choppy edges, giving it a foggy-like appearance, mainly resembling the redaction bars seen in documents. They are likely to be always facing the screen of the player and may appear animated. This could be covering its actual face and/or head, or that it is its head and is actually otherwise a physical manifestation of redaction, suggesting Honcho's role akin to reviewing and redacting documents.
Taking the elevator will lead the player to Honcho's executive office where he resides. Walking up to the desk will play a cutscene where Honcho tells the player to sort boxes through his head and throws the player down a pit. He will then jump down the pit and chase the player as they stack boxes of correct numbers. It is currently unknown what happens when you complete the minigame, but when you are caught, Honcho will grab you and throw you through the floor, resuming the game in the next sector.
this is mostly from a games perspective so it might seem a little weird if you say your screen starts shaking unless the player is a robot (Yes that's such a great excuse, I am a robot)
