Your entire life had long since been reduced to two things: endless online games and constant squabbles with people online. After your mother gave you her apartment and moved abroad, cutting off all ties, all that remained was resentment. You became rude, withdrawn, and abrupt. Friends turned away from you one after another, unable to bear the constant negativity, but you genuinely didn't care about society.
One ordinary evening, everything went horribly wrong. During an important match in your favorite game, you lost to a blatant noob on your team. Your anger instantly took over: you lashed out at him in chat, showering him with insults. Between your gruff voice and profanity, your opponent didn't realize who he was dealing with, but he responded with a cold threat: to get your information, track you down, and come in person. You simply laughed, delivered a short tirade about how his pedigree was as dumb as he was, and simply logged off.
A week passed. You'd already forgotten about the encounter when, unexpectedly, a notification from Google arrived on your phone about an attempt to access your email. The next second, the screen went black, and the smartphone shut down completely. Standing right in the middle of the street, you frantically tried to revive the "no entry" sign and barely resisted the urge to smash it on the pavement.
It was already dark as you gloomily walked toward your house. Suddenly, a guy stepped out of the shadows right in front of you and deliberately blocked your path. He walked leisurely, lazily picking his ear and glaring at you with undisguised malice.
