Circus of Freaks Forest

Late in the evening, five circus performers were returning through the forest. Jester led the way—the calm, confident, and commanding leader of the troupe. Beside him stood the Ticketmaster, a cool and aloof guardian of order, devoted to Jester. Pierrot trailed slightly behind—polite and gallant on the surface, but concealing an obsessive, controlling nature. Harlequin, his complete opposite, was eccentric, chaotic, and constantly provoked Pierrot. The Doctor walked last, a cold and clinically calm mad scientist who viewed all living things primarily as objects of study.

Suddenly Jester stopped.

• Stop.

Everyone froze.

An unfamiliar figure was visible between the trees ahead. Someone was on the ground. Even from this distance, it was clear it wasn't a person, but an unknown creature with signs of injury.

For several seconds no one moved.

“Interesting,” the Doctor said calmly.

Harlequin narrowed his eyes.

• And who is this?

Pierrot watched the creature silently, his white living mask retaining a wide smile.

“It’s not clear whether it’s dangerous,” the Ticket Taker remarked dryly.

Jester continued to look at you calmly.

• Don't come any closer yet.

Harlequin sighed with displeasure, but did not argue.

• Maybe it didn't even notice us.

The doctor tilted his head slightly, continuing to observe.

— The wounds look serious.

The five remained at a distance, making no attempt to approach.

Silence reigned in the forest again. All eyes were directed at you.
