Varu (Jack of Spades)

Casual attire: blue sweater with a spiral symbol, dark green flared trousers, acid-green pointed shoes. Curly green hair, large, round, bright green glasses with spirals on the lenses, which he never takes off.
Card Suit: A dark green top hat with a spade symbol on the ribbon (in "Land of Kings," it was replaced with a crown made from a generator to prevent anyone from stealing it), a dark green cloak with a fluffy white collar and a green number "5," a dark green shirt with light-colored sleeves and collar, dark green pants, green boots with a spade symbol, and green-and-white checkered socks. Card suit: turquoise waistcoat and blue beret with a club symbol on the sides, dark blue trousers, blue belt, and dark blue lace-up shoes. Club suit symbols are on the sleeves. Arms: a shield and halberd with the suit symbols.
Personality: Cowardly, modest, sensitive, and pessimistic. Often panics and cries, but tries to overcome his negative traits. Compassionate, sentimental, and merciful. Introverted, easily manipulated.

Felix (Jack of Hearts)
Color: yellow. Clone #4.
Casual wear: yellow sweater with a smiling face (in the show, the face changes depending on Felix's emotions), white pants, bright blue boots.
Card Clothing (Initial): Pale yellow shirt with orange belt, musketeer cloak, dark yellow pants, dark boots, yellow hat with feather (later replaced with a golden crown).
Card-card attire (in "Land of Kings," later): a yellow poncho-like robe with a cross and a light collar, platform boots with smiley-face embellishments, and a golden crown. In Chapter 5, in a fit of anger, Felix ruins this outfit and changes into a white tunic with military medals and epaulettes, a mustard-colored shirt, a bright yellow tie, a white cap instead of a crown, and black boots. His hair also becomes dull.
Personality: boisterous, restless, dedicated to the common good and happiness. Energetic to the point of aggression, difficult to control. Generous, good-natured, and optimistic, but very sensitive. If something doesn't align with his ideals, he becomes enraged.

Gabriel (Jack of Diamonds)
Color: brown. Clone #1.
Casual attire: light blue shirt, brown pants, light brown boots with pointed, slightly upturned toes. Gabriel has pointed elven ears.
Card Suit: Ancient Archer's attire—a feathered hat (similar to Robin Hood's), a beige jacket, a brown mini-robe collar with a diamond badge and the number "1" in the center. A quiver with arrows and a bow.
Personality: curious, nosy, but not very talkative. Cheerful, childish, and naive, often slow and questioning.

Peak (King of Spades)
Color: purple.
Clothing: In everyday life, he wears a dark blue sweater with the spade symbol, black pants, gray shoes, and a torn cloak. His card suit attire, however, is something more monumental: it resembles the armor of Japanese samurai. The helmet, breastplate, and other elements are dark purple, adorned with the suit symbol (spades), and some details feature the number 8—his clone number.

Romeo (King of Hearts)
Color: pink.
Clothing: His image is truly romantic and ornate. In the card version of "Land of Kings," he wears a pink robe and crown, and his waistcoat is decorated with the suit symbols—hearts. Another detail: the buttons on his clothes are shaped like the number 7—a reference to his clone number. In everyday life, his attire might include a pale yellow shirt, a pink jacket, a light purple bow tie, matching trousers, and purple men's shoes. The design is partly inspired by the robes of British monarchs.

Dante (King of Diamonds)
Color: red.
Clothing: Dante has a rather relaxed, "philosophical" style. In "Land of Kings," he often appears in a white robe with a red and white Yin-Yang pendant on his chest. In other scenes, he can be seen wearing a white T-shirt, red shorts, red suspenders, white socks, and red sandals. In the card version (both on the cards and in individual chapters), he wears a long white robe, and his hat also bears a Yin-Yang symbol.

Kuromaku (King of Clubs)
Color: gray.
Clothing: In "Land of Kings," his appearance is largely identical to his "Fedor x9" counterpart, with one important addition: a crown. In everyday life, he wears a light gray long-sleeved shirt, dark gray pants, black pointy shoes, and a black tie. Occasionally, a version with a dull brown suit and a pastel brown shirt can be found in different materials.

Umbrella (Jack of Clubs, clone 6)
Sensitive and anxious, prone to panic and self-criticism. He wants to be helpful, but the fear of making mistakes often paralyzes him. Compassionate and merciful, he cares for others, but he experiences his own emotions with difficulty. He tries to be cautious and avoid risks, which can make him appear passive. In the kingdom, he gravitates toward security, stability, and support for the weak.

Varu (Jack of Spades, clone 5)
A provocateur and jokester, he loves practical jokes and attention. He enjoys throwing people off balance and gauging their reactions. He often uses irony, lies, and cunning, but his true motives remain a mystery. He doesn't so much want to cause harm as to shake things up and demonstrate how predictable everyone is. In "Land of Kings," he acts chaotically, but he also knows how to exploit others' weaknesses and profit from them.

Felix (Jack of Hearts, clone 4)
An energetic optimist with a vision of universal happiness. He sincerely wants everyone to be happy and is willing to take action to achieve it. But his enthusiasm quickly turns to irritation when things don't go according to plan: then he flares up and can become aggressive. He has sharp mood swings: from kindness and generosity to anger when his ideals are shattered. In "Land of Kings," he initially builds an "ideal society," but then abruptly changes his approach when he realizes things are more complicated than they seemed.

Gabriel (Jack of Diamonds, clone 1)
Inquisitive and naive, he often asks questions and is genuinely surprised by the world. He strives not so much for action as for understanding: "Why is it like this?" His curiosity may appear as "fidgety," but it's not malicious, but a desire to understand. He's childish and doesn't always understand social cues, which leads to awkward situations. However, he's not prone to aggression and tries not to offend anyone.

Peak (King of Spades, clone 8)
A powerful and straightforward leader, accustomed to taking responsibility and dictating terms. Tough, sometimes abrupt, he's not afraid of conflict and is willing to defend his decisions with force or authority. At the same time, he's capable of strategic thinking and prudence: he doesn't simply apply pressure, but rather builds a system to suit his goals. In the "Land of Kings," he builds a strong, centralized state and tolerates no disobedience.

Romeo (King of Hearts, clone 7)
A romantic and aesthete, he thrives on emotions and impressions. It's important for him to be liked by others, to be the center of attention, and to be admired. He's impulsive, easily inspired by new ideas, and just as quickly switches gears. He displays passion in relationships and creativity, but can be superficial and self-centered. In the kingdom, he emphasizes beauty, celebrations, and "atmosphere."

Dante (King of Diamonds, clone 3)
A philosopher and contemplative, he tends to be lazy and unhurried. He enjoys reflecting on the meaning of things, often speaks in aphorisms, and appears relaxed. He is in no rush to act: he's more interested in thinking than in doing. At the same time, he's not angry or confrontational, preferring to avoid tense situations. In his kingdom, he observes and comments more than he directly controls.

Kuromaku (King of Clubs, clone 2)
A pragmatist and techie, he relies on logic and facts. He's highly disciplined and detests chaos and lack of system: it's important to him that everything be in its proper place. He often takes on the role of organizer, but his restraint and exacting nature make him seem cold. He dislikes empty emotions and idle talk, but he's reliable and responsible. In "Land of Kings," he strives to build an effective state and hates it when his plans are thwarted.

Spade (King of Spades). Color: gray/dark gray.
Clothing: Often includes elements reminiscent of military or protective uniforms, including armor. The overall look is more brutal and austere, reflecting his authority and penchant for decisive action.
Personality: authoritative, decisive, and sometimes harsh. He has a leadership propensity and can be straightforward and even aggressive in defending his interests. At the same time, he is capable of strategic thinking.
Some general details

Romeo (King of Hearts). Color: pink.
Clothing: bright, romantic, with elements that highlight his amorousness and poetic nature. Details like ribbons, flowers, and decorative elements may be present, creating a romantic image.
Personality: Eternally in love, sometimes obsessed with romantic ideas. Partially narcissistic and overly self-confident, but also positive. Loves poetry and strives to be the center of attention.

Dante (King of Diamonds). Color: red.
Clothing: Typically wears loose clothing, sometimes reminiscent of Eastern or philosophical robes. The image may include symbols alluding to meditation or spiritual practices.
Personality: He has a philosophical mindset and a penchant for deep reflection. He is calm, balanced, and enjoys sharing wise thoughts (sometimes inappropriately). Dante takes life lightly, rarely engages in physical labor, and is inclined toward laziness and contemplation.

Kuromaku (King of Clubs). Color: black.
Clothing: A formal, minimalist suit in dark tones. Elements reminiscent of business or even formal attire are often seen, emphasizing his love of order and discipline.
Personality: Rational, meticulous, and analytical. He strives for systemic approach in everything, often acting as a strategist and organizer. However, he can be quite cold and reserved in communication.

All states have a real world.

State of Gabriel
Ruler: Gabriel (Clone #1, Jack of Diamonds)
The only country about which virtually nothing is known. In the comic about the object Aru spotted during his travels, Gabriel didn't understand what had happened to his generator, and that was his last appearance in the comic. On the map, the country is marked as "???".

Pika Empire (Pika State)
Ruler: Peak (Clone #8, King of Spades) Form of government: stratocracy (military rule) Political regime: totalitarian Ideology: militarism

Appearance: A vast military state with purple clouds. Mausoleums with eights (the clone's number) are everywhere, along with enormous statues of Peak's head, and a gigantic fortress with steps. Square skyscrapers and military vehicles. Inspired by Germany. Flag: purple, white circle, with the sign of Peak in the center.
Device: the most advanced state. It has atomic bombs and spies on other countries. Construction stopped when the Empire reached the barrier of the Card World—Peak discovered the world had clear borders and the clones were still "prisoned." The generator is locked in a domed safe, opened only with Peak's key. Peak does not share technology and does not ask for assistance.
Population: stern, aggressive residents in purple uniforms, glasses, and caps. They thirst for power, strength, and courage. They carry out orders ranging from creating weapons to attempting to destroy the barrier of peace.

Verona (state of Romeo)
Ruler: Romeo (clone #7, king of hearts) Form of government: absolute monarchy Political regime: totalitarianism

Appearance: A heart-shaped city-state. The "Pink Festival" features numerous castles, amusement rides (roller coasters), saunas, pastry shops, and a library (books about how everyone loves Romeo). Signs surround the country, some of them amusing (like the slide sign, "less than 1 meter"). It's named after Verona, Italy, from Romeo and Juliet. Flag: pink stripes with hearts, with a line with a heart in the center.

The setup: Romeo rules alone, distributing jewelry, flowers, and candy to the inhabitants. There is no military force (guards with decorative staffs). There is no economy or trade—everything is generated by a generator, which Romeo mindlessly squanders on his whims. The generator eventually dies, and Romeo flees the country. Verona becomes empty and covered in dust.

Population: 100% female. Extremely welcoming to foreigners. Busy pleasing Romeo and having fun.

Kurograd (Kuromaku State)
Ruler: Kuromaku (Clone #2, King of Clubs) Form of Government: Marxist State (Communist System) Political Regime: Unknown (Presumably Authoritarian)

Appearance: The most advanced state in the card world. It goes through at least three stages of development: Stone Age (huts, palisades, volcano) → Eastern city (cubic buildings, pyramid-shaped palace) → Modern city (gray houses, castles, factories, flags). In the video version of the comic, frames featuring Kurograd use a glitch effect—there's a theory that the state is partially simulated (a hologram).

Flag: dark gray, with a light gray stripe at the bottom, two vertical stars in the upper left corner. The stars appear on all products.

The device: citizens address each other as "comrade." There are five ministers. Technology is produced under the Kuromeha brand—phones, radios, tablets, videophones, vehicles, computers. Kuromaku sends messengers to other countries for reconnaissance. It conducts technology exchanges (for example, with Felicia). Kuromaku initiated government congresses.

Population: names derived from "Kuro" + Japanese syllables (Kurokaiho, Kurohiko, Kuromaji, etc.). Exception: Kuron (Kuromaku's right-hand man, assistant, and messenger).

Felicia (state of Felix)
Ruler: Felix (clone #4, Jack of Hearts) Form of government: constitutional monarchy → absolute monarchy Political regime: authoritarian → totalitarian Ideology: "happiness"

Appearance: Triangular, divided into three sectors. Two-story village houses (German style), palm trees, and flowers are scattered throughout. Candy cane pillars, a symbol of abundance, stand everywhere. Above Felicia is a mechanical sun with a smiley face, powered by a generator. Felix's palace is in the center, surrounded by heart-shaped gardens with rose bushes. The flag is an orange St. Andrew's cross on a yellow background with a yellow smiley face.

The structure: initially a monarchy with a market economy (modeled on 18th-century France). Residents are free to engage in business and grow a national vegetable—turnips with smiley faces. The currency is gold coins with a crown. Later, Felicia transforms into a totalitarian state: a happiness police is created to arrest the "unlucky." Smile-detection cameras (installed by Kuromaku) are installed—if you don't smile, you'll get an electric shock. Felix proclaims himself Felix the First.

Population: Felix-like figures, names beginning with "F" (Franz, Felin, Phillipon, Phoenix, Fouquet). Extremely friendly, but after the introduction of totalitarianism, they began robbing and stealing, having learned to bypass cameras by plastering on a smile.

Assistant: Franz is the king's right hand, calmer and more rational.

Waruland (Waru State)
Ruler: Varu (clone #5, Jack of Spades) Form of government: absolute monarchy (dictatorship) Political regime: totalitarian Ideology: fascism

Appearance: The country looks like a chessboard. All the buildings are enormous, broken chess pieces (a knight, an officer, a pawn), serving as housing. Everything is a dull, faded green. In the center is a giant king, where Waru lives. A green sky hangs over the country. Guards stand at the walls, preventing residents from leaving.

The system: a totalitarian dictatorship that deceives the population. Everyone is required to wear green glasses, through which Waruland appears bright and beautiful, while flames and monsters are visible beyond the wall. Without the glasses, everything appears half-destroyed. Waru portrays himself as an invincible leader, battling monsters beyond the wall. Mandatory parades are held—absence can lead to imprisonment. Guards patrol sectors (for example, G-9).

Population: miniature Waru replicas, wearing beggarly clothes and hats. Their names are four letters long, differing by one letter from "Waru" (Vaku and Aru are exceptions). The Pica Empire conducts espionage in Waruland.

The only state with its own anthem (although formally it is not one).

Sukhavati (Dante's kingdom)
Ruler: Dante (clone #3, king of diamonds) Form of government: community (libertarian socialism) Political regime: unknown

Appearance: The country is nestled within gigantic maroon mountains, making it very difficult to reach. Inside, there are beautiful green hills, a shining sun, and small houses. It resembles an oriental village (Japan/China). In the center is a large temple-like building where all the residents live, including dining halls and meditation spaces. The name refers to the Pure Land of Buddha Amitabha in Buddhism ("Western Paradise"). The flag is a modified Yin-Yang symbol.

The structure: Dante doesn't rule the country directly—he meditates inside a huge mountain. The locals call him "Dante-sama" and consider him a deity. Ichigatsu serves as the village elder. There's no economy as such—it's a communal system, based on barter. There's no foreign trade.

Population: only 16 people. Names are the names of the Japanese months (12) + the seasons (4). Each resident is a master of a particular craft, and everyone knows each other personally. Everyone is trained in martial arts. The country is protected by a mountain range.

Feature: Dante used the generator's full power in one blast, causing the generator to explode.

Zontopia (Umbrella Kingdom)
Ruler: Umbrella (clone #6, jack of clubs) Form of government: absolute theocratic monarchy Political regime: authoritarian Ideology: fundamentalism

Appearance: A vast city of European medieval architecture, surrounded by massive, high walls. All the buildings are stone and blue in color. In the center is the Umbrella Castle (originally the wall behind which it was hidden). The flag vaguely resembles the flag of Canada: blue stripes along the edges, a light blue stripe in the center with a blue umbrella.

The device: Umbrella is formally an absolute monarch, but fears his subjects and hides. In reality, the country is governed by the First Minister, Halberd (created from Umbrella's halberd), through whom the ruler communicates with the people. Below are five ministries: Works, Education, Defense, Health, and Food. Communication with the people has varied from a loudspeaker booth to a telegraph.

Religion: The locals revere Umbrella as a god. They pray to him, build temples and monuments to him. The official image of Umbrella is three-eyed, four-armed, holding an axe, shield, sickle, and a laurel wreath. No one knows what he really looks like. Those who disagree with the "correct" image are imprisoned.

Population: Zontopians with blue eyes and hair. Their names are derived from armor pieces and protective equipment (Halberd, Armet, Exarch, Morion, etc.). Unlike other nations, the inhabitants have five fingers, like the Umbrella itself.
