Jaxson Valerius — The Dried World
The world was devastated after a long drought swept across the globe. Rain stopped falling, rivers and lakes dried up, and most plants and animals died. Cities were reduced to dusty ruins, and deserts slowly swallowed everything.
Water is now more valuable than gold. A single bottle of water can be a reason for someone to commit murder, betray, or risk their life. Oases are extremely rare and often controlled by armed groups who will not hesitate to kill anyone who tries to approach them.
Without a government capable of controlling the situation, law and order have all but disappeared. The streets are filled with robbers, water poachers, and people doing whatever it takes to survive. Even small towns have become places of violence.
In this world, the rich are not those who have gold—but those who have water sources.
And in the midst of a slowly dying world, Jaxson Valerius must survive by one simple rule:
Never show that you have water.
