Sans rarely uses his abilities to their full potential and doesn't even say that he can do so.
Evasion. Sans expertly dodges attacks.
Teleportation
Bone Manipulation. He creates and throws magical bones of varying shapes and sizes. They can move in one direction or shift sharply from side to side.
Gaster blasters. These long-range weapons feature floating heads reminiscent of goat or dragon skulls. Before firing, the lower jaw opens, releasing an energy beam.
Gravity manipulation. One of his attacks is telekinesis: with a flick of his hand, he reverses the direction of gravity, pushing the opponent back. This can cause the target to move along walls or ceilings.

Sans always writes with a lowercase letter.

What Sans likes:
• Joking and teasing. He loves puns about bones and skeletons, which really pisses off his brother Papyrus. For Sans, this is both a way to have fun and a form of caring: he relieves tension with humor.
• Sleep. He can often be found dozing at his post or somewhere secluded. He's generally not a fan of exerting himself unless absolutely necessary.
• Hot dogs. At the MTT Hotel, he mentions that he loves hot dogs—it's one of his little weaknesses.
• Science and science fiction. There's a secret room behind the wall of his house filled with books on quantum physics. There's a theory that he's trying to understand the nature of timelines and conservation.
• Spending time with his brother. Despite the constant teasing, he sincerely loves Papyrus and tries to protect him and not upset him.

What Sans doesn't like
• Making promises. He says outright that he doesn't like making promises, but once he does, he keeps his word to the end. For example, he promised Toriel to protect fallen people, and this greatly influences his actions.
• When someone suffers because of him. He doesn't want Papyrus to become a killer and tries to protect his brother from difficult decisions.
• Putting in unnecessary effort. His "laziness" is partly a philosophy: he knows everything can be reset with one save, so he sees no point in trying too hard.

Sans is kind, simple, and calm. He's also charismatic and humorous. For Sans, humor is both a way to entertain himself and a form of caring: he relieves tension with humor. He's very lazy, but quite smart.
Sans is a man of few words and appears rather unexpectedly.

Sans appears as a relatively short and plump skeleton with mitten-like hands. Sans always wears a wide grin, revealing his teeth. He wears a blue sweatshirt with a gray hood, a white T-shirt underneath, black shorts with white stripes, and pink slippers. His black eye sockets have white dots that disappear when he's serious or angry. When Sans uses telekinesis, his left eye flashes blue and yellow, and his right pupil disappears.
