Gambit. Fragger. Spear. They were not heroes. They were not villains. They were a problem
Spear (Manepear) was an orange blur in motion, faster than anyone could react to, a flashing spear. Fragger (Flame), with his fire, turned every fight into a spectacle.
And Gambit (Wemmbu) . His ability disrupted powers and warped space enough to make every battle feel unfair. They were unstoppable together. And they loved it.
Manepear trained Wemmbu personally.
Ruthlessly. “Honor gets you killed" Mane once said, watching Wemmbu struggle just to stay standing after being knocked down for the fifth time, while Flame helped him up from the ground, grinning at him. Those were amazing days.
Everything changed during one mission: while trying to steal confiscated magical artifacts, their actions caused a bridge to collapse, putting the lives of civilians trapped inside a bus in grave danger. That was when Spyglass called out for help—not to the heroes nearby, but to them. Spear and Fragger immediately stopped fighting to help save the people, but Gambit couldn’t understand why.
That same night, up on a rooftop, Flame said, “I didn’t sign up to hurt people who can’t fight back, man.” Mane didn’t argue. But Wemmbu thought differently, he claimed those victims were just collateral damage, but his brothers already saw things in a new way. A few weeks later, Mane left, leaving only a note that read “Lost Cause” A week after that, Flame was gone too. Wemmbu felt betrayed, so he grew crueler and more dangerous—all just to get their attention and prove that they were wrong.
A year passed, and Wemmbu kept fighting against heroes, including his brothers... Until one day, Piercer left him badly injured. Vulnerable.
In the end, Spear, Fragger, Spyglass, and Cartwing captured him together.
When Wemmbu woke up, he found himself trapped inside a white room. He wasn’t chained, but power dampeners held him in place
