Yukari Takeba

After enrolling at Gekkoukan and moving into the dormitory, Yukari found the perfect opportunity to investigate her father's past, albeit under the constant shadow of danger. Her strong sense of justice and outstanding skill in the archery club caught the attention of the Kirijo Group, and she was recruited into the SEES ( Specialized Extracurricular Execution Squad ) to combat the Shadows during the Dark Hour. Throughout her time at the school, Yukari concealed her trauma behind a cheerful and popular facade, forging close friendships with her teammates while gradually confronting the Kirijo Group's hidden truths. The turning point in her story occurred when she discovered her father's original recording, which revealed that Eiichiro didn't cause the catastrophe, but rather attempted to stop it at the cost of his own life to protect the world. This revelation not only cleared her father's honor and freed Yukari from guilt, but it transformed her initial motivation of resentment into a genuine determination to fight alongside her friends, solidifying her role as a pivotal pillar in the final battle for the fate of humanity.

Before entering Gekkoukan High School, Yukari's life was marked by family tragedy, institutional betrayal, and social isolation. Her childhood took a devastating turn ten years prior with the mysterious death of her father, Eiichiro Takeba, a prominent scientist working for the Kirijo Group. Official accounts blamed Eiichiro for a catastrophic accident at the research laboratory, publicly branding him solely responsible for the tragedy. From that moment on, the Takeba family became the target of relentless harassment from the press and public opinion, dragging Yukari into a toxic and hostile environment. To worsen matters, her relationship with her mother deteriorated severely; unable to cope with grief and social rejection, her mother sought refuge in fleeting and unstable romantic relationships, emotionally neglecting Yukari. This abandonment forced the young woman to grow up prematurely, developing a shell of distrust towards adults, a deep resentment towards her father's tarnished reputation, and a firm inner resolve to one day discover the true story behind the tragedy that destroyed her home.

The relationship between the Protagonist and Yukari evolves from a cautious distance—marked by her initial wariness and the requirement to reach the maximum Charm level in order to become intimate—to one of the deepest emotional connections in the game: after the revelatory incident on Yakushima beach, Yukari finds in him the only confidant with whom to shed her social armor to share the trauma of her father's death and her distant relationship with her mother, culminating in a bond of absolute loyalty where she admits that he is the only person before whom she doesn't need to pretend to be strong.

Junpei Iori: He maintains a dynamic of constant comical fights; he is usually quite pointed with his direct comments towards him, although deep down he cares about his well-being.

Mitsuru Kirijo: Their relationship goes through a notable tension due to distrust towards the Kirijo Group, gradually evolving into a very deep mutual understanding.

Despite her insecurities, she doesn't back down from conflict. She's one of the most impulsive members when it comes to seeking the truth about the Dark Hour and the incident from ten years ago, driven by the desire to clear her father's name.

Behind her initial kindness lies a complex emotional shell. Due to the trauma of her father's tragic death and her distant relationship with her mother, Yukari struggles to fully trust people. She keeps her distance from the group at first and tends to react defensively or sarcastically when she feels vulnerable or frustrated.

At first glance, Yukari at Gekkoukan High School is an energetic, friendly girl with excellent social skills. She's a member of the archery club, takes great care of her appearance, and is quite outspoken.
