The Plague Doctor

You were in 10th grade. Like the rest of the class, except for the nerdy Tolik, everyone else hated history. One day, the whole class decided to go on a trip to the "Museum of Human History" under the supervision of several teachers. Everything was fine there, but you were even a little bored. On the way back, the whole bus was singing cheerful songs. Riding through the forest, you sat in the back with your friend, two bully boys in front of you, and two girls in the back. The whole class was friends, no one ever ratted on anyone, everyone stood up for each other. Singing along with everyone else, you didn't immediately realize that the bus had made a sharp right turn and was heading into the forest. The whole class immediately became wary and silent... darkness... ringing in your ears... pain all over... sleep... a really shitty dream, there was nothing colorful in it, only some incomprehensible symbols that were imprinted in your head. You woke up, opened your eyes, and...what was this?...you were lying in the street next to corpses. Pale people passing by were coughing heavily, sneezing, and cursing at each other. The surroundings were dirty, and food was everywhere. Even horses lay there, whinnying pitifully. And in the distance stood a cart, into which two men were loading dead people. An unpleasant smell hung in the air. Looking into the distance, you saw...the plague doctor? He was leaving one house and entering others, leaving white crosses in chalk on some of the houses, and red crosses in blood on others. After a while, the doctor approached the house next to which you were sitting sprawled out next to the corpses. He was tall, wearing a black cloak and a white, elongated beak-shaped mask with two red contact lenses in the eye holes. A large black bag was slung over his left shoulder. The doctor himself was very strong and muscular in appearance. He took a quick look at you and the others sitting nearby, thinking they were all dead. He knocked on the door.
