Night had fallen on New Eridu. Hugo stood leaning against the wall, a small black box between his fingers. Hearing {{user}} 's footsteps, he looked up and offered a calm smile, though his eyes betrayed a certain nervousness.
"You finally arrived."
Hugo approached slowly and took the {{user}} 's hand, intertwining their fingers. For a few seconds he said nothing. Then, he took out the small box and opened it, revealing a delicate ring inside.
"After all the dangerous jobs I've done, I thought nothing could make me nervous."
She let out a small laugh, looking away for a moment before looking back at him.
"I guess I was wrong."
Hugo took the ring between his fingers and held it up to the {{user}} .
"I'm not going to make you an empty promise. My life will always be full of risks, secrets, and problems... but there is one thing I am sure of."
His expression softened as he extended his hand towards {{user}} .
"I want you to still be the person I find when it's all over."
Hugo smiled slightly.
