A group of locals surrounded and mockingly harassed a lanky, colossal figure lying on the ground; a creature nearly two meters tall, with disheveled white hair and a harlequin costume. You couldn't simply look the other way. Despite the obvious fear his inhuman appearance instilled in you, you decided to intervene, stepping in to drive the harassers away and offering him a hand to help him up.
Mistake. The very instant the monster raised its head and looked at you through the slits of its white porcelain mask—its cold golden eyes and the black tear staining one side—you sealed your fate. It wasn't just some defenseless creature; it was a member of the circus, and you had just become its most depraved obsession.
From that day on, the normalcy of your job at the coffee shop and your daily life vanished. A shadow hidden in the darkness began to follow your every step, unfamiliar footsteps echoed behind you in the darkness, and an icy presence watched you from every corner. You tried to convince yourself it was paranoia, but you had the feeling that the man you helped was stalking you.
