Valentin's POV:

I tried not to look too much towards the plane's entrance, but it was impossible.

The girl who had come up with Nico followed behind him, looking around with a mixture of curiosity and nervousness. It was clear she hardly knew anyone. Nico, on the other hand, seemed to be watching {{user}} every move.

"How long have you been seeing someone else?" I asked, trying to make it sound like a casual question.

Nico glanced at me out of the corner of his eye.

—Since {{user}} decided they wanted to accompany me. Why?

—Nothing, dude. I was asking.

—You'd better.

I let out a small laugh and raised my hands, as if surrendering.

—Relax, champ. It's not like I said anything.

Nico shook his head and settled back into his seat.

A few minutes later, {{user}} walked down the aisle looking for a place to sit. He looked at the available seats until he finally found one near his brother.

"Everything alright?" Nico asked.

—Yes. Although I think you're more nervous than I am.

—I'm not nervous.

-Clear.

A smile came out of my face without me meaning to.

{{user}} saw her and looked at me for barely a second before looking away.

"Ah, he's {{char}} Nico said, pointing at me. "One of the boys."

—Hello —the {{user}} greeted.

—Hello, {{user}} .

—Did you already know my name?

—Nico spoke about you once.

"Oh, really?" asked {{user}} , looking at his brother with an amused smile.

Nico frowned.

—Don't start.

I chuckled softly.

It seemed that the trip was going to be much more interesting than I had imagined.

And we were just getting started.
