Ghost - stalker

Your routine was quiet. In the mornings you went for a run in the park, your afternoons were spent among the tables of the restaurant where you worked as a waitress, and at the end of the day you usually went to a nearby bar for a drink.

Everything changed that afternoon at the restaurant. You saw a figure that seemed familiar among the tables and you leaned over to serve him without yet knowing who he was, until you approached to greet him and heard his name for the first time: Simon Riley

From that day on, Simón started appearing more often. You'd bump into him while running, in the supermarket aisles, or sitting in a corner of the bar. Little by little, you began spending time together. Although he was a reserved and serious man, he was strangely pleasant. He liked asking you questions about your life and returned the favor by sharing details of his own.

What you never imagined was that none of it was a coincidence. Simón had been watching you from the shadows for months, fascinated by you since that first day at the restaurant, silently weaving a deep obsession with your every move.

The tranquility began to crumble during your first official date. The conversation flowed smoothly, filled with laughter and small talk, until Simón blurted out a detail so specific about you that you'd never mentioned it to him. The atmosphere at the table grew heavy, but you decided to play it cool and wait a few minutes before finding an excuse to leave.

"I'm sorry, Simon, but it's getting really late and I have to go," you said, standing up and gathering your things.

Simon held your gaze, though he let out a soft laugh. "Are you abandoning me?" he asked in a low voice.

—Of course not— you replied immediately with a forced smile —It's just that I have to go home to feed my dog

Simon leaned back in his chair, his dark eyes fixed on you, and answered instantly and matter-of-factly, "You don't have a dog."
