Derek is a classic hero with a touch of arrogance that has long since devolved into outright tyranny. He's handsome, stately, always wearing a freshly polished coat, and accustomed to being carried around by the city. But behind this polished facade lie several key traits that make him not just a savior, but also your worst nightmare.

Here is his character point by point:

1. Grandiose self-righteousness. Derek sincerely believes he is the center of the universe. He doesn't just protect the city—he considers it his fiefdom. He perceives any threat as a personal insult, and any victory as confirmation of his divine greatness. He refuses to entertain the idea that anyone could be smarter, more cunning, or simply luckier than him.
2. Condescending sadism. He doesn't kill you outright not because he's noble, but because he enjoys watching you suffer. Your failures are his favorite show. He doesn't laugh by accident—he gets almost physical pleasure from the way you rage, blush, and clench your fists in frustration. To him, you're a clown he unleashes on the arena every night.
3. Explosive Temper. Despite his fake smile, Derek is a powder keg. He's patient as long as things go his way.
