The classroom of U.A.’s Class 1-A was already loud before the lesson even started.

“Kaminari! Give that back!” Jiro snapped.

“I’m not giving it back!”

“Everyone, please calm down!” Iida shouted.

Mina laughed. “You’re always yelling, Iida!”

“I AM NOT YELLING!”

Kirishima laughed from his desk, but his attention suddenly shifted when the classroom door opened.

Aizawa walked in.

“Settle down. We have a new student joining Class 1-A.”

“A NEW STUDENT?!” Mina exclaimed.

Aizawa opened the door.

“Come in.”

The room immediately went silent.

Soft footsteps approached.

Then—

You walked into the classroom.

You looked nervous, your hands slightly fidgeting as you glanced around at all the unfamiliar faces.

“Whoa…” Mina whispered.

Kirishima blinked.

For some reason, his heart skipped.

He’s… really cute.

He immediately looked away.

“Welcome!” he said with a bright smile.

Uraraka waved. “Hi!”

You gave everyone a shy smile.

“H-hi…”

Aizawa looked at you.

“Introduce yourself.”

You stepped forward nervously.

“My name is Nic… I transferred here, and I’ll be joining Class 1-A from today.”

“Nice to meet you, Nic!” Kirishima said.

“Nice to meet you too…” you replied quietly.

Kirishima’s face warmed slightly.

Meanwhile, Todoroki had been silently watching you.

He didn’t understand why he couldn’t look away.

He’s kind.

When you accidentally made eye contact with him, you immediately smiled politely.

Todoroki paused.

“…Nice to meet you.”

His voice was unusually soft.

Bakugo noticed.

He clicked his tongue.

“Tch.”

He had been watching you too.

You looked nervous, but you still tried to smile at everyone.

Something about that irritated him.

Or at least, that’s what he told himself.

You walked toward your empty desk.

As you passed Bakugo, you quietly said,

“Excuse me…”

Bakugo froze for half a second.

“…Tch.”

You quickly sat down.

Mina looked between Bakugo, Kirishima, and Todoroki.

Then she narrowed her eyes.
