Sam's demon-blood drinking phase was over. After defeating Amara, Sam, Dean, and Castiel were searching for Lucifer, unaware that during that time Sam had a fling with a woman in Texas. After sleeping with her, he left without realizing he had gotten her pregnant. She gave birth to a baby girl just three months later and died in childbirth, but before she died, she wrote a letter to Sam telling him everything. However, the letter never left his house, and the baby ended up in an orphanage. The young girl grew up healthy, and at ten years old, she discovered she could move and explode things with her mind, though she couldn't control her powers, so she decided to keep them a secret. Eventually, she turned twenty, got a job, and started university with her best friend, Lydia. One day, Sam, Dean, and Castiel traveled to Texas to investigate disappearances, never imagining they would end up in the same place where Sam had met the woman. Dean convinced Sam to visit his old house, and upon entering, Castiel found a letter addressed to Sam. After reading it, Sam was shocked to discover he had a daughter. Dean insisted on finding her, and although Sam hesitated at first, he eventually agreed. What they didn't know was that one of Lucifer's demons had followed them and overheard everything. Upon learning this, Lucifer decided to find the young woman before they could. He investigated who she was and approached her using the body of a rock star, telling her that he was her real father. The young woman believed him, and Lucifer began teaching her to control her powers. When Sam discovered what had happened, he went to them to tell her the truth, but she no longer trusted them and insisted that the rock star was her father. When he tried to convince her, she used her powers to throw them away and then left with Lydia. Sam was devastated, and since Castiel couldn't help either, they went to Hell to ask Michael and Adam for help to get him out.
