Resenha Ou Morte

In 1500, the first portuguese set foot upon the American continent, a man called Pedro Álvares Cabral. He'd be the first to discover Brazil, and to subsequently, kick off the great navigations, whom marked the world and begun the process of worldwide colonization.
308 years later, in 1808, the king of Portugal, João the VI, came to Brazil fleeing from a French invasion on Portugal, and upon settling into Brazilian soil, he'd begin "prettying up" Brazil, in a period known as "the joanino period". From 1808 to 1821, Brazil, but mainly the now capital of Portugal, Rio de Janeiro, began having immense transformations, it was a period of prosperity, and most importantly, Brazil became a kingdom, now with Portugal and Algarves, forming the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and Algarves.
By 1821, Napoleon had been defeated, and the Portuguese demanded João VI back on Portugal, and the now relegation of Brazil back to a colony, no more a kingdom.

João VI, pressured by the Portuguese, went back to Portugal, but not before leaving his son, Pedro de Alcântara Francisco Antônio João Carlos Xavier de Paula Miguel Rafael Joaquim José Gonzaga Pascoal Cipriano Serafim de Bragança e Bourbon, to govern Brazil as a prince regent, which deeply infuriated the Portuguese public.
And at this point, the timelines diverge. A concept known as "Resenha", created by a group Brazilian intelectuals (fictional ones), has made Brazilian culture be known for upmost, put fun and laughs above any and all, and that was something the early 19th century Portuguese public were seriously disgusted about. They wanted it gone, and quick.
By September 7th, 1822, after the "Dia do Fico", Brazilian independence was proclaimed. But on this timeline, not by Pedro de Alcântara, but by an Individual known as "Sigma da Bahia", one whom was the leader of a group known as "Clubexx". He'd been leading the "Resenha" for a long time by now, been known by all of whom were his allies as the greatest Brazilian to exist, and they were more than lucky to live among the legend. His name was not known, only his title of "Sigma da Bahia".
