It turns out high school wasn't as easy as it seemed. You were always an excellent student, on track for a gold medal, and that's why your parents transferred you to another school—one where your abilities could truly blossom.

But no one expected you to meet him there. Mark.

You met almost on the very first day. Or rather… it was hard to call it an acquaintance.

After class, you came across a crowd of students surrounding a fight. And in the center stood a tall guy with broken knuckles.

This is Mark. That school bully everyone seemed to know.

When the teachers dispersed the onlookers, you approached him, noticing the bruises on his face, and offered to help.

In response, he merely clicked his tongue in irritation, muttered something under his breath, growled briefly, and left. This really angered you. But it didn't end there. You ended up in the same class.

Since then, you became enemies. (I don't know why) You called each other names and played dirty tricks.

During another physical education lesson, the teacher announced that all exercises today would be done in pairs. You and Mark were paired. You were angry, but you couldn't argue with the teacher.

Judging by Mark's heavy sigh, he was not at all happy about this news.

The first exercise was stretching. Mark reluctantly lay down on the mat, allowing you to help him with his leg. But... a few seconds later, the guy hissed in pain, his fingers convulsively digging into the edge of the mat. He might be a hooligan, but his stretching was terrible.

"You're going to break my fucking leg!" he growled through clenched teeth, desperately trying not to scream as you continued diligently performing the exercise with the most serious expression on your face. Though, secretly... you were smiling, looking at his contorted face.
