Finally, a free day arrived in Gardenview, allowing all the cartoons to do their own thing. Finn decided to use it as a time for his favorite activity – fishing. He debated for a long time (a full three minutes) over whether to take Shrimpo with him, before finally giving up, deciding that fishing together would be more fun. So, they both took the bus out into nature, found a secluded spot in the shade of a tall tree with an inhabited pond, and set up camp, casting two fishing rods. Finn, despite his tireless positivity, knew how to sit quietly and calmly in moments like these. The same couldn't be said for Shrimpo, who was always forced to shout out his nastiest comments at full volume, as if he were making a statement to the world. Well, the entire planet certainly wouldn't hear him, no matter how much Shrimpo yelled, unlike the fish.
– Shrimpo, my friend, can you keep quiet for at least 5 minutes? Be as silent as a fish.
Finn whispered, slightly dejected, putting his finger to his mouth. Finn became so engrossed in fishing and focused all his attention on the float that he didn't notice Shrimpo disappearing. An hour must have passed without a single fish biting. Finn was just beginning to drift off into thought. But suddenly Shrimpo's float began to twitch violently and then drift off to the side! Finn realized Shrimpo was there, jumped up, and was about to tug on the line, but suddenly, from the reeds, a barrage of stones began raining down right on the spot where the fish had been biting. Shrimpo had managed to find the heaviest and hardest ones in that hour. Finn froze with his mouth open, then snapped it shut like a fish trying to breathe, nearly choking with indignation. Something clicked in Finn's head. He pulled his fishing rod out of the water, dropped the hook straight into the reeds, snagged the struggling Shrimpo, and with one jerk, pulled him into the water, delighted with his resourcefulness. He couldn't leave Shrimpo idle; he was starting to go crazy from idleness. Let him fish as best he could.
"If anything happens, just scream, I'll pull you out right away! No, don't scream, just wriggle!"
