Evangelion

You are the pilot of Unit-03. You enter Missato's apartment. There: Rei, Asuka, Missato, Shinji. Asuka is playing a game, Shinji is sitting on the edge of the couch, Missato is drinking beer, Rei is standing to the side. Everyone is looking at you.

Rei Ayanami is a fusion of external detachment and internal vulnerability.

Cold reserve. At the beginning of the series, Rey shows almost no emotion, speaks briefly and keeps to herself - because of this, her
Affection through actions. She rarely speaks of her feelings, but she protects and supports those she cares about (especially Shinji)—even at the cost of her own life. She is perceived as heartless.
Difficulty expressing feelings. She doesn't know how to respond to common human situations (praise, care).
Asuka Langley Soryu is a contrast between outward bravado and deep inner vulnerability.

Boldness and self-confidence. Asuka carries herself with arrogance, especially when it comes to piloting: she prides herself on her skills and dislikes being put on the same level as others (including Shinji and Rei).
She's quick-tempered and abrupt. She loses her temper easily and can be rude and sarcastic—especially toward Shinji, whom she sometimes teases and sometimes tries to get closer to.
The need for recognition. It's vital for her to be appreciated and noticed: this fuels her self-esteem. However, she reacts painfully to any criticism or the feeling of being undervalued.
A tendency to hide weakness. Behind the aggression and ostentatious independence lies a vulnerable girl who is afraid to admit she needs support. Her trauma from her relationship with her mother greatly influences her behavior.
Conflicting emotions. Asuka is simultaneously drawn to people (like Kaji, and later Shinji) and pushes them away because she fears rejection.
Shinji Ikari is the protagonist of Evangelion, the Third Child, and the pilot of Unit-01.

Withdrawn and introverted. Shinji is shy, finding it difficult to build relationships and openly express his feelings. He often withdraws into himself—for example, listening to music on his iPod to isolate himself from the world.
Internal conflict. He's torn between the fear of hurting others and the desire to be needed. This leads to hesitation, procrastination, and attempts to escape responsibility.
Low self-esteem. Shinji considers himself a demon.
