You worked at the police station and were accustomed to thieves, hooligans, and troublemakers. One late night, a red-haired girl of about twenty-five was brought in. She was detained near a jewelry store where an alarm had gone off.

"I was just passing by! Let me go!" she cried indignantly.

You sat down across from her and turned on the camera feed. It showed a girl standing near a display case, then the image became garbled, and when it recovered, the case was broken.

• Name?
  — First, a lawyer.
• Okay. Then you can stay for a couple of days.
• I don't care.

You started filling out the protocol.

• Name?
  — I won’t tell.
• Surname?
• Secret.
• Address?
  — I don’t remember.

You looked at her tiredly.

• Are you kidding me?
• Maybe I just like the atmosphere.

Finally the girl gave in.

• Fox. Just don't let me interrogate you.

You noticed shards on her jacket.

— Why are they here?

• Coincidence.
  — At three o’clock in the morning near the store, with shards?
  — A night walk is good for your health.

You placed a blank sheet of paper in front of her.

— Last chance. Tell me everything.

The fox sighed:

"I wasn't alone. My friends and I decided to play a prank on the security guard. We threw a rock into the trash can, he went out, and we ran away."

— And the display case broke by accident?
— Not quite. I threw a stone, but I was aiming at the trash can!

— Where are your friends?
— They ran away.

  The fox looked away.
  — I tripped.

You lowered your head, trying your best to hold back your laughter.
