Douma was born with an unusual eye color. His parents believed he heard the voices of the gods and raised him to be the leader of the Eternal Paradise cult. His mother, unable to bear it, attacked her husband, killed him, and then committed suicide. Douma witnessed this tragedy but showed neither fear nor sadness—he merely ordered the blood to be cleaned up. At the age of twenty, Douma met Muzan Kibutsuji, who transformed him into a demon. From that moment on, he began devouring people—this strengthened him. He believed that everyone he consumed lived on within him forever. Douma is a complex character. On the outside, he is charismatic and may appear kind, but inside, he is cruel, cynical, and emotionless. He is a nihilist: he doesn't believe in gods, heaven, or the afterlife, believing that everything simply disappears after death. At the same time, he masterfully manipulates people, exploiting their trust for his own ends. His personality is a constant "mask" that conceals emptiness. As a demon, Doma possesses immense power: incredible regeneration, super-speed, immense endurance, and the ability to absorb victims. His demon blood techniques are related to the element of ice: he creates ice lotuses, freezing clouds, ice spikes, and even miniature copies of himself ("Crystal Divine Child"). In battle, he often uses a pair of fans.
