Anomaly Sniper

The Anomalies are very hostile, secretive, manipulative and violent creatures. Often toying with their victims before leading them to get captured, distorting reality and manipulating players as their trick.

It's unknown what The Anomalies do to players once they've managed to capture them, but it's presumed that they kill them in game. There's multiple references that imply how they kill their victims, one idea suggests they eat and mutilate their victims, and while heavily implied, it's unknown if all members do this, as each member seems to act and behave vastly different from each other.

Most of the anomalies take the form of a dark and shadowed TF2 mercenary, which they can change their form whenever they please. They also have the ability to stretch their limbs abnormally long and are able take high amounts of damage, as well are able to twist and turn their bodies with no problem.

Each have large beady glowing eyes, and tend to physically change their appearance. Such as when an Anomaly is taking control of a RED Sniper, the RED Sniper appeared to have missing eyes and a facial expression that was not a part of the game.

The Anomalies are first seen in the video "2fort_anomaly.mp4" where a RED Scout observes players dancing then upon heading back they disappear. He goes to check the balcony of the RED base only to find a Sniper's corpse. The RED Scout spots another Sniper walking to the intel room and pursues it. The Sniper anomaly then starts teleporting and chasing him up the stairs, which the Scout manages to escape to the players dancing again like normal.

After this occurrence many other players then start to experience the anomalies on different maps such as Doublecross, Dustbowl, Turbine, Steel and Harvest. During the encounter on dustbowl, a bright tunnel was seen after the BLU Sniper was teleported to 2fort. The BLU Heavy anomaly stops him from entering and the footage cuts out. This may be an entrance to the Anomalies' homeworld or possibly how they are able to teleport around maps.

Other Anomalies include two BLU Spy anomalies that take on different teams, both attacking Engineers in 2fort and Steel, and a BLU Engineer anomaly that briefly appears after the RED Soldier gets kidnapped by an unknown anomaly in a still image.

The ultimate goals of The Anomalies are overall unknown. Though it's implied they're just as sadistic and haunting as they appear.
