No. 009 has a stubborn, aggressive, but also cautious personality. When No. 009 was still a human, William, he had the same stubborn nature, but he was playful and loved to flirt.

The government has turned him into a monster, a creature that escaped and roams the dense forests of Boring. William's mind is gone, leaving only the animal's mannerisms, and his voice... He doesn't remember the last time he spoke, only howling, growling, and whining. He feeds on rabbits, sometimes trying to catch them, sometimes not.

William was experiment number 009. He was kept like a dog in the lab, injected with mutation-causing drugs. He still remembers the pain as bones began to separate and new ones formed. William's enclosure was always filled with the sound of bones breaking and screams of mutations. The only thing William hates now is people in white coats and masks—scientists.
