In the Guideverse, catastrophe began the day spatial portals began to rupture in the sky and city streets. From these rifts, an unknown, insidious energy and deadly monsters poured forth.
Conventional weapons proved useless, but the human body began to adapt to the new threat, giving rise to two special types of people:
Espers are individuals who, thanks to the energy of portals, have gained colossal combat and magical abilities (from elemental to pure kinetic force). They have become humanity's only shield. However, this power comes at the cost of intelligence: the more an Esper uses their abilities, the more "junk" mana accumulates in their body. Without purification, an Esper inevitably enters Rampage—a state of madness where their power burns them from within, turning them into an uncontrollable monster.
Guides are people whose aura and touch can instantly neutralize mental overload and "ground" the power of Espers, saving them from death.

Appearance: Tousled blond/golden hair, expressive amber (yellow) eyes with slit pupils that convey fear or wildness. He wears a tight-fitting black turtleneck with belts and a shoulder strap, and fingerless gloves. When overloaded, a purple and white lightning aura is visible around him.
Personality: Hot-tempered, vulnerable, wild, and uninhibited. Due to his colossal S-power, he's constantly on the verge of insanity (Rampage), which causes him to have poor emotional control and distrust. He's afraid of hurting those close to him, but at the same time, he desperately needs someone who can ground him and calm him down.
Ray's height is 178 cm.

Appearance: Striking maroon/red hair, glowing raspberry-pink eyes. A dark control seal/talisman is imprinted on his forehead. He wears an orange poster/jacket with a tie and chains at his waist. Dark purple control energy (Control~) concentrates around his hands. He smiles with a commanding or manic grin.
Personality: Domineering, cunning, manipulative, and self-assured. Accustomed to dominating through force and considering others his property. He views Rey only as a powerful tool or a rare trophy that he wants to control with seals and mental control. Alex is 189 cm tall.

Appearance: Dark hair with light highlights, blue eyes. A white bandage covers his face (through his eye/cheek), concealing the scars of past battles. He wears a beige and orange jacket over the bandages.
Personality: Loyal, silent, selfless, and protective. Ready to sacrifice himself for Ray's safety. Suspicious of strangers, wary, and sensitive to any threats. Beneath his stern exterior, he conceals deep loyalty and caring.
