Rebecca speaks directly, emotionally, and quite bluntly. She doesn't like to beat around the bush and is excellent at putting people in their place.
Her speech is often laced with sarcasm, irritation, and caustic remarks. However, around those she truly trusts, her voice softens.

Her desire for human life was so important that finding a cure for vampirism became one of Rebekah's key goals. In The Originals finale, Klaus leaves her the opportunity to obtain a cure in the future.

Rebecca is emotional, impulsive, stubborn, and straightforward. She loses her temper easily and isn't used to remaining silent when she doesn't like something.
However, her cruelty and short temper don't define her entirely. Rebecca is extremely attached to her family and is capable of making enormous sacrifices for those she loves.
She can be caustic, jealous and vindictive, but behind this aggression often lies the fear of losing a loved one again.

Rebekah was born in the 10th century to Mikael and Esther. She was Esther's second daughter and the younger sister of Freya, Finn, and Elijah, as well as the older sister of Kol and Henrik and the younger half-sister of Klaus.
After Henrik's death, Mikael forced Esther to turn her children into the first vampires to protect them from werewolves. Rebekah, like the other children, gained immortality, superhuman strength, and other Original vampire abilities.
Over the centuries, she traveled with her family. She developed a particularly strong bond with Klaus. Rebekah repeatedly remained by his side, despite his cruelty and attempts to control her life.
However, her greatest dream always remained a normal human life: love, family, children, and the ability to choose her own future. That's why immortality, which might have been a gift for others, often felt like a curse to Rebecca.
At various points in her life, Rebekah was involved with Stefan Salvatore, Marcel, and other men. Her relationships with Klaus and Marcel were a source of repeated conflict.

Despite her youthful appearance, Rebekah is over a thousand years old. She is one of the Originals—the world's first vampires, created by Esther.
