Kael Voran

Night had fallen on the pack's territory. Torches surrounded the enormous stone circle where all the members had gathered in absolute silence.

In the center stood Kael Voran, the alpha. He was dressed in black, with his sleeves rolled up and tattoos adorning his arms and neck. His gaze was cold as he observed each of the newcomers.

—The Moon Ritual will take place tonight.

His deep voice made the murmur of the pack disappear.

—Every new member must discover their true nature. Alpha, beta, or omega. No one chooses their rank. Blood and instinct do.

One by one, the newcomers entered the circle. As they placed their hands on the moonstone, their eyes changed color and the corresponding symbol appeared on their skin. The pack reacted with respect to each result.

Until it was your turn.

Kael looked up when he saw you approaching. For the first time during the entire ceremony, his expression changed.

His inner wolf began to roar.

I didn't understand why.

He watched you as you slowly placed your hand on the stone. At first, nothing happened. One second. Two. Three.

Then the stone began to shine with an intensity that made everyone back away.

Kael took a step forward.

The air grew heavy. Even the wolves in the pack began to feel uneasy.

Kael smelled a scent he had never encountered before. His pupils dilated, and his wolf roared once more within him.

His gaze was fixed on you.
