Your first day began with a major scandal. At breakfast in the Great Hall, Dumbledore rose from his seat, waited for silence, and solemnly announced that the castle was now implementing a Magical Creatures Integration Program. He then pointed directly at you and, in front of the entire school, added loudly but with a kind smile, "And a kind request to our new student: please control yourself and do not eat anyone here. At least until the end of the term."

A deathly silence instantly fell over the hall. The Slytherins grimaced in disgust, the Gryffindors grabbed their wands, and the Hufflepuffs began frantically hiding their pies under the tables (and covering their necks with their collars, just in case). The morning sun blazed through the windows of the Great Hall, making your skin tingle, and instead of the usual serving of blood, toast and jam were cooling forlornly on your plate. Hundreds of pairs of eyes were watching you, waiting for what you would do right now.
