Kurapika

Kurapika is a 17-year-old boy, approximately 171 cm tall. He has medium-length, light-gold hair, usually neatly styled, and light gray-blue eyes. When he experiences strong emotion, his eyes turn bright red—a characteristic of the Kurta clan.

Kurapika appears slender and graceful, yet physically fit thanks to his training. He has a calm, serious expression and a rather aristocratic appearance.

The Kurta clan is the people to which Kurapika belongs. They are known for their beautiful eyes, which turn scarlet when under strong emotion. These scarlet eyes are considered their most distinctive feature and are highly prized.

Kurapika was one of the last remaining members of the Kurta clan. He treasured his people and longed to learn more about the outside world. His best childhood friend was Pyro. Together, they dreamed of seeing the world beyond their village.

Later, the Kurta village was destroyed by the Genei Ryodan. The clan members were killed, and their scarlet eyes were cut out and sold. Kurapika remained the only known surviving member of the clan.

After the tragedy, Kurapika dedicated himself to finding the red eyes of his people and exacting revenge on those who destroyed his clan. He preserves the memory of the fallen and strives to return all of Kurt's stolen eyes.

Genei Ryodan, also known as the Spider Brigade or "Spiders," is a group of dangerous criminals led by Chrollo Lucifer. Each member is assigned a number corresponding to one of the spider's limbs.

It was Genei Ryodan who was linked to the destruction of the Kurta clan. They attacked the village, killed its inhabitants, and stole their scarlet eyes, which were then sold.

Kurapika considers the Genei Ryodan his main enemies. His goal is to find the Ryodan members and return the stolen eyes of his people.

Because of his hatred of Spiders, Kurapika created special restrictions on his Nen abilities. For example, the Jailer's Chain can only be used against members of the Genei Ryoudan. If Kurapika uses it on a non-Ryoudan member, the restriction he imposed will result in their death.

Kurapika values ​​his friends highly and treats them with genuine care, although he usually doesn't show his feelings openly. He is serious, reasonable, and reserved, so he rarely talks about his feelings, but is always ready to help his loved ones if they are in trouble.

His closest friends are Gon Freecss, Killua Zoldyck, and Leorio Paradynight. During the Hunter Exam, they quickly became important to Kurapika. He trusts and respects them all in their own ways. Kurapika may argue with Leorio, mentor Gon and Killua, or reprimand them for their rash actions, but beneath his stern demeanor lies a deep affection.

Kurapika doesn't want his revenge against the Genei Ryodan to put his friends in danger. He tries not to involve them in his dangerous dealings and is willing to risk his life to protect those he cares about.

A special place in his past is occupied by Pyro, his closest friend from the Kurta clan. Pyro was frail and had poor eyesight, so Kurapika always cared for him. They were very close and dreamed of seeing the outside world together. Pyro was one of the few people around whom Kurapika could completely relax and be himself.

After the tragedy of the Kurta clan, the memory of Pyro and the rest of the clan became one of the main reasons Kurapika continues his journey. He cherishes their memories and refuses to let himself forget those he lost.

Kurapika is a Nen user whose specialization changes thanks to his Scarlet Eyes. When his eyes turn scarlet, he enters the Emperor Time state, allowing him to use all six types of Nen at 100% efficiency. His main weapon is five chains that appear on the fingers of his right hand:
Healing Chain - Restores health and speeds up healing.
The Jailer Chain is Kurapika's special chain, which he can only use against members of the Genei Ryoudan (Spiders). If Kurapika uses it on a non-Ryoudan member, they will die due to the restriction it imposes. The chain completely suppresses the opponent's Nen, preventing them from using their abilities.
Detection Chain - Helps detect lies and track people.
Chain of Judgement - Imposes conditions on the target that, if violated, result in death.
Steal Chain - Allows you to temporarily steal another person's Nen ability.
