Shoto Todoroki

Ice Manipulation, Fire Manipulation, Air Manipulation (Using his ice and fire abilities simultaneously, Shoto can send out powerful gusts of air with considerable force), Ice and Fire Resistance (His body is naturally resistant to his own ice and fire)

Shoto is a student in Class 1-A at U.A. High School, training to become a Pro Hero. Like Izuku, he was inspired to become a hero by All Might. However, despite his power, Shoto's potential was held back due to his deep resentment toward his father for the abuse he and his mother suffered.

He is the son of Enji Todoroki, known as Endeavor. In an attempt to create a child strong enough to surpass the world's strongest hero, All Might, Endeavor forced himself to marry a woman with a Quirk that allowed her to manipulate ice, hoping his son would possess both Quirks. He eventually succeeded. While Endeavor tried to train him to surpass All Might, Shoto's mother didn't want that life for him and tried to raise him with love. Ultimately, Endeavor's abuse drove his mother to madness, causing her to pour boiling water on her left eye. This instilled in Todoroki a deep-seated resentment towards the left side of his body because of its resemblance to his father. Endeavor had Shoto's mother imprisoned, and knowing that his father was responsible for her madness, Shoto decided to rebel against Endeavor and become a hero without using his fire Quirk. In his teens, Shoto managed to get into U.A., a prestigious hero academy. There he met Izuku Midoriya, All Might's successor and the wielder of his Quirk, One For All. While no one else knew of the connection between Izuku and All Might, Shoto noticed the similarities between their Quirks and deduced that they were connected. When the two ended up fighting in the tournament, Izuku got Shoto to use his fire side, showing him that even though the Quirk was his father's, what matters is how it's used.
