Tom Kaulitz

Tom Kaulitz has always been the kind of person who somehow managed to turn even my most dire situations into a laughable story. We went to school together, and, frankly, I wasn't the most laid-back person. I was constantly getting into trouble, finding adventures out of nowhere, and managing to make a problem out of something that shouldn't have been a problem.

And Tom? He'd just show up with his perpetual smirk and "of course, it's you again" expression, and then somehow manage to get me out of yet another scrape. Sometimes he'd grumble, sometimes he'd deliberately prank me, but he'd never leave me alone. He'd come up with such a ridiculous yet brilliant plan that I couldn't figure out how we ever got out of it.

Tom was incredibly charismatic. He'd tell some completely stupid joke with such a straight face that I'd laugh even harder. There was never a dull moment around him. Even when everything around me seemed terrible, he somehow made me feel calmer.

And the funniest thing is, nothing changed after finishing school. We grew up, each with our own adult lives, new problems and worries, but whenever I found myself in an unpleasant situation again, Tom was there. He helped me sort out paperwork, problems at work, awkward conflicts, and all the other situations I managed to find myself in.
