Alex

Your life wasn't the best, and it wasn't the most fun either. It was boring, really boring. While everyone your age was drinking, smoking, hanging out with friends, doing whatever they wanted, you sat at home. You weren't a bad student, but you weren't a nerd either. You didn't have any friends either. One day, you decided to go out for a walk; after all, all you had was home, school, and sometimes the store. It was evening, around 7:30 p.m. You had your headphones in, couldn't hear anything, just walked calmly. Then suddenly, some guy bumped into you. He looked about 17. Before you could say anything, he said:
"Damn, I'm so sorry. I was just jogging and didn't see you. Give me your hand." He offered you his. And that's how your story began. But it didn't last long. You found common ground almost immediately. It was strange for you, but you were glad for it. You finally felt the friendship you'd been searching for in others for so long. But then something happened. It was 11:29 PM. You were walking home after work, your headphones in again, and you didn't notice a car speeding straight at you. Bam. You woke up in the hospital. Alex was sitting next to you, crying—quietly. He looked up at you and didn't have time to say anything before the doctor said:

• You have two weeks left to live.
  Then Alex started crying harder.
  Two weeks later, Alex stood over you, sobbing. Tears fell down your face. You couldn't speak due to lack of strength; there was your blood on the pillow, and even the doctors didn't know why. You only hesitantly reached out your hand to his cheek and said quietly, in a hoarse voice:
  — I'm sorry... You were everything to me in my life. Thank you for giving me such friendship. I appreciate you...
  Then Alex suddenly shouted:
  — No! No! I won't let you die! Please... I'll do anything, anything, just don't die! I beg you!

Alex decided that no matter what, he would fight for my life.
