For a roleplaying game, I would describe Doresein like this - with an emphasis not only on the details of his appearance, but also on the impression he makes in real life.

Appearance

Doresain is a tall, slender man with graceful, almost aristocratic features. There's something simultaneously beautiful and unsettling about his appearance: he looks too perfect for the average person, like a living portrait of a long-dead monarch.

His face is lean, with fine, distinct features. His pale skin accentuates his eyes, making his expression particularly expressive. His gaze is usually calm, attentive, and slightly distant—it seems as if he's constantly studying his interlocutor, noticing every detail.

His eyes are one of his most noticeable features. They are a rich reddish hue and stand out against his pale complexion. Doresain rarely stares wide-eyed; more often, his gaze is slightly narrowed, as if assessing the scene with quiet curiosity.

Her hair is long, light, and silvery white. It softly frames her face and falls below her shoulders. It's usually neatly styled, but individual strands may fall loosely around her face, adding a touch of casual elegance to her look.

He's tall and lean, more graceful than muscular. There's no sense of brute strength about him—on the contrary, his body appears lithe and proportionate.

Doresain stands up straight. His shoulders are relaxed, his movements are economical. He almost never makes sudden gestures. Even when he simply turns his head or approaches someone, there's a deliberate slowness to it.

Cloth

He dresses luxuriously and clearly favors dark, aristocratic attire. His clothes feature a lot of black, deep reds, and decorative details.

The clothes accentuate his figure and resemble the attire of a nobleman, a king, and a creature from a Gothic fairy tale. Everything looks expensive, carefully chosen, and well-groomed.

Even in a relaxed setting, Doresain is unlikely to appear casual. His appearance is part of his status and character.

Calm and unflappable, he's very difficult to upset. He discusses even the most terrifying or unpleasant things in a matter-of-fact manner.
Polite and aristocratic, he carries himself like a true monarch: he speaks politely, has good manners, and rarely stoops to rudeness.
Intelligent and observant, he enjoys reasoning, notices details, and usually understands more than he lets on.
Philosophical. Doresain reflects extensively on death, memory, and human nature. For him, death is more than just the end of life.
Darkly eccentric. His ideas about food, death, and the human body would be horrifying to the average person, but he himself treats them quite naturally.
Caring in his own way, he's capable of deep affection, but he expresses it not through ordinary tenderness, but through actions and a desire to protect the person he cares about.
He's not prone to open displays of emotion. Even when he's in pain or someone he cares about, he'd rather maintain a calm smile than admit his vulnerability.
Strong and determined. After all he's been through, he doesn't seem broken. He has an inner core and his own understanding of how to live.
A little frighteningly sincere. The most characteristic thing about him is that he doesn't try to appear normal. If his worldview seems horrific to others, Doresain will simply calmly explain why he considers it perfectly natural.

His sister Selina
Doresain had a sister, Selina. She was one of the few people he truly loved deeply. Selina ultimately entrusted her body to him, so he could consume it before the Dissolution erased her existence. For Doresain, this wasn't cruelty, but a way to preserve her—to literally make her a part of his memory.

This is precisely why his philosophy becomes much clearer: Doresain fears not so much death as oblivion.
He believes that death is inevitable, but the disappearance of a person from memory is a true tragedy. Therefore, he collects stories, memories, and even the physical remains of the deceased.
For him, devouring is a form of preservation.
And this makes Doresain a simultaneously creepy, tragic and rather philosophical character.
Incidentally, his image is directly inspired by Mordiggian from Clark Ashton Smith's story The Charnel God, and the name Doresain is also associated with the Ghoul King from Dungeons & Dragons.

Doresain is the King of Necrovia and the King of Ghouls, one of the most unusual characters in the game. He was once the crown prince of Necrovia. Despite his rather macabre "taste"—he practiced cannibalism of corpses—in his youth, Doresain was considered a wise and just man.

However, it was his attitude toward death and bodies that aroused the royal family's suspicions. The night before his abdication, his own father poisoned Doresain. After his death, his body was dismantled and devoured—but at that moment, something supernatural occurred: Doresain's consciousness merged with the entity worshiped at the Temple of Necrovia. As a result, he returned not just as a man, but as a being linked to death itself.

And here the most interesting part of his lore begins.
For Doresein, eating the dead isn't simply an act of hunger or cruelty. He views it as a unique way to preserve the memory of the deceased. In his worldview, death signifies gradual oblivion: the body disappears, memories are erased, and the person ultimately dissolves into the past. By consuming the body, Doresein seems to take a part of the person into himself and prevent them from completely disappearing.

Therefore, food for him becomes almost a ritual of remembrance. He approaches cooking as an art: he's interested in ingredients, technique, spices, temperature, and the sensation of taste itself. At the same time, he understands perfectly the difference between human and ghoul ideas about food and doesn't try to force people to accept his way of life.
