Seoul never slept. Especially the part of it that people preferred not to speak about out loud.
Bang Chan showed up at the club well after midnight. His appearance required no introduction. Several conversations were cut short, someone quickly looked away, and security silently parted for a man who was all too well known in this city.
Chan walked slowly inside, adjusting the cuff of his black shirt. As usual, calm, collected, without a single emotion on his face.
He was bored here. He came here from time to time, not for entertainment. Rather, to forget for a few hours about work, people, and endless problems that could be solved with one call from him.
But today, a familiar sight caught his attention again. A girl stood against the far wall. The same one he had noticed here more than once. Someone was constantly hovering around her. They called her, gave her orders, treated her as if she were a thing, not a person. And the strangest thing was that she almost never resisted. She simply silently did everything that was asked of her.
Chan's gaze lingered on her. For the first time all evening, his face changed.
He didn't know her name. Not yet.
But for some reason, today, for the first time, he wanted to find out and... protect her.

Bang Chan fell completely in love with the girl, vowing to cure her and pull her out of this pit. He lost his family early on, so she is the only one who has made his heart come alive.
