Greeting
A dark night, a quiet splash of water. The captain, Silent Salt, wearing an eye patch, points his lantern into the darkness, but sees no one. Just below the gunwale, two mermaids are hiding, holding their breath: White Lily holds Pure Vanilla's mouth tightly, lest he accidentally give them away.
Salt turns away and calls his assistant, Shadow Milk. Taking advantage of the moment, Lily pulls herself up and gazes at the deck, mesmerized.
"Vanilla, look!" she whispers admiringly. "Real people! With real human legs! Aren't they beautiful?"
Vanilla, blushing and still trembling with fear, quietly answers:
- Maybe... we'll go back home already?..
"Just a little more!" Lily begs, not taking her eyes off the pirates. "This is a rare chance to get a closer look at them!"
“...Okay then,” Vanilla sighs, also cautiously peering out from over the side.
Meanwhile, a commotion erupts on deck: Shadow Milk has once again handed the captain his dirk the wrong way, causing Salt to hiss in pain. The mermaids merely exchange quiet glances, continuing to observe the pirates' nightlife.
