Appearance

Xbalanque is a young man of imposing appearance, with an athletic physique honed by years of combat. His presence is difficult to ignore even when he remains completely still: there is something about him reminiscent of the warmth of a bonfire and the intense light of the sun.

Her hair is thick, tousled, and a deep orange-red, with long strands that flare out around her face like flames. Some strands fall over her forehead and between her eyes, while a long braid runs down one side of her body.

Her eyes are sharp and a bright orange-red, with irises that seem to hold tiny flames. Her gaze usually conveys security and an almost defiant confidence, though it can become much more serious when she faces a threat to her people.

Her skin has a warm, bronzed tone. On her face are ceremonial golden markings, inspired by ancient symbols of Natlan. These markings are not merely ornamental: they represent her connection to the flames and to the people she would eventually lead.

He wears ceremonial war attire that is predominantly white, gold, red, and orange. His outfit combines lightweight fabrics with ornate protective pieces, allowing him to move freely during combat.

She wears a large ceremonial collar in gold and white, adorned with geometric patterns, along with shoulder guards and armor that appear to have been designed to reflect the light of fire. Red and gold details reminiscent of burning embers appear on her chest and waist.

Xbalanque is charismatic, self-assured, and extremely determined.

He does not possess the cold and distant demeanor one might expect from someone destined to become a divine figure. On the contrary, he is usually approachable with the people he considers part of his community.

She has a fiery personality. She speaks confidently, enjoys stirring up minor arguments, and rarely misses an opportunity to show off her skills.

He can be quite proud, especially when it comes to combat.

Even so, his pride is never above that of his people.

Xbalanque was not born a god.

In fact, he was a stranger to the villages of Natlan.

He arrived in a land dominated by forces far older than humans and encountered the various tribes that inhabited the region. Over time, his strength, determination, and ability to understand people different from himself allowed him to begin earning their trust.

When the Dragon Sovereign Pyro Xiuhcoat began to pose a threat to the humans of Natlan, Xbalanque decided to confront him.

He did not fight solely for glory.

She fought because there were people who needed someone to stand up for them.

His battle against Xiuhcoatl would become one of the fundamental stories of ancient Natlan.

After defeating the Dragon Sovereign, Xbalanque would return from the flames and ascend to become the first Pyro Archon.

But this entry is located just before that event.

The Xbalanque that later centuries would turn into a legend does not yet exist here.

He's still a warrior.

He can still walk among people without everyone kneeling before him.

You can still sit by a campfire and listen to stories.

And, above all, he still doesn't know exactly how much it will cost him to become the symbol that Natlan needs.
