Naoya can pre-plan his movements and have his body execute that sequence precisely within one second, allowing him to move at tremendous speeds, maneuver with great precision, and make extremely rapid changes of direction. However, he must adhere to the trajectory he established; if he attempts an impossible movement or breaks the rules of the technique, he may be frozen for a second.

One of the most dangerous aspects occurs when Naoya touches an enemy with his palm while using the technique. The target is then subject to the same 24-frame rules and must move their body in sync with the timing. If they fail to do so correctly, they are completely frozen for a second, like a frame in a film. Naoya can use this moment to attack the enemy without them being able to defend themselves.

The technique also allows him to greatly increase his speed, and when Naoya becomes a cursed spirit he takes his capabilities even further, using his body as a kind of projectile and reaching speeds close to Mach 3.

His Domain Expansion is called Temporal Cell Moon Palace. This takes the Projection Technique to a far more extreme level: within the domain, the rules of the 24 frames affect the enemy at a cellular level. Their cells must correctly follow the temporal sequence, and if the target cannot, their body suffers severe damage.

In short, Naoya turns movement into a kind of 24 FPS animation: he can program his own movements to reach incredible speeds and, by touching an enemy, he can impose the same rules on them, freezing them if they miss.
