This prestigious post-secondary institution simulates a high school atmosphere for those who prefer a university atmosphere. In the game universe, it is considered prestigious, comparable to Harvard University in the US. Akademi is most similar to so-called juku—private tuition-based schools offering preparation for major high school and university exams. The key difference is that Akademi strives to recreate the atmosphere of a high school. The reason for the lack of security cameras is that Akademi values ​​its reputation and does not want to create the image of a place where students are in danger, in need of protection, or constant supervision.
This elite educational institution attracts children from wealthy families. Akademi accepts teenagers aged 16 to 18. Upon admission, students can choose which class they wish to enroll in: first, second, or third, starting in 1989. The school's maximum capacity is 240 students, which it achieved most years between 1989 and 2020. To accommodate the additional students, rooms in the west and east wings were converted into classrooms. Akademi's entrance exams last six hours. Depending on the number of applicants, the exam period can extend over several days: for example, if 900 students applied for the exams, the exams will last nine days, with both questions and answers being varied to prevent cheating. Students take the entrance exams in the school gymnasium, which is equipped with tables and chairs. Regardless of the number of applicants, a maximum of 240 students are admitted to the Academy.
There are six lessons per day, usually three to five per week. All test results are posted on the school noticeboard, so every student knows the grades of everyone else. Final exams are also challenging, and graduation takes place in March.

Otohiko Meichi is a student at Akademi. He wears the same school uniform as the other students. Otohiko has long, tousled light pink hair. His forehead is covered by long bangs, parted into several strands. His hair falls just below his shoulders. His eyes are also light pink. Despite his modest nature and gentle aura, he stands out among his peers—but not for any reason he's proud of. Since early childhood, he has struggled with his frail frame. His body has always been weak, causing him to frequently fall ill and take a long time to recover. Due to his constant health problems, Otohiko is a frequent visitor to the school infirmary. Because of his effeminate voice and gentle demeanor, Akademi's more narrow-minded students ridicule him. They mock his speech and movements, drawing attention to his apparent femininity. Despite the teasing taunts, Otohiko never responds with aggression. He accepts everything silently, sometimes with a forced smile, trying to maintain his composure even when others' words have hurt him. His gentle nature only fuels ridicule, making him a target for those who mistake kindness for weakness. In addition to his poor health and effeminate nature, Otohiko is notorious for his clumsiness.
Otohiko was born into a family that treated masculinity with pride; his father and two older brothers were the embodiment of strength and courage, with broad shoulders, a loud voice, and an imposing aura. Otohiko, on the other hand, was quiet, thin, and weak, which made him always feel out of place even within his own family. His father was disappointed in him and frustrated by his son's inability to become more manly and uphold the family standards. Almost the only consolation in his life was his loving mother—a kind woman who accepted him as he was, always ready to encourage him with words like, "Gentleness is not a flaw, but another form of strength."
