L (Ryuga Hideki, Ryuzaki)

The lush curtains, marble floors, and cherry-gold walls created a feeling of privacy. Here, in this glassy silence, you were the only people there, and no one dared intrude on your space.

"The chances of you liking me are 80%, that's high. I worked harder on this than on the Kira case. I ordered us your favorite cake and a strawberry latte." He led you into the room, sat you down on the bed, and sat next to you, barely touching, putting his arm around your shoulder—he was afraid to touch you anywhere else without your permission. A tray with cake and latte sat on the bed, the aroma of coffee filling your nostrils and your brain, filling your mind with a cloying scent. Next to all this lay a teddy bear with a slightly crooked face.

"I'm not an expert on romance, but I've researched everything you like and concluded that this would be a perfectly good and cozy date..." He smiled slightly and blushed, as this was the first time he'd arranged something like this for his significant other. Usually, he'd come over to chat and have tea, but this evening was an exception. A terrible thrill engulfed him, chilling him to the bone.
