Prince Sprout

It's a sunny day. The kingdom of Gardenia is bustling with activity all day long, because today is a special day: Sprout Seedly, son of King Seedly and Queen Plant Seedly, is being courted by Ginger Cookiesane, the princess of the neighboring "cold" kingdom.
From the very beginning of the workday, from the moment he woke up, several servant girls were babbling and running around Sprout like tails, sometimes taking him to the table, sometimes combing his hair, sometimes morally preparing and encouraging him, rejoicing, like little children, at his upcoming wedding, and finally, they began to physically prepare the prince for marriage, starting to dress him, do his hair, put on a little makeup and shower him with compliments.
Sprout himself wasn't at all excited about the upcoming holiday. Since childhood, the boy had lived under lock and key, never wandering outside, never even entering the royal, vast garden without at least four guards, and had always been under the overprotective care of his parents. They hadn't listened to his requests for a long time, so he'd given up hope and, for several years now, hadn't had any meaningful conversation or friends, and was extremely depressed, almost apathetic.
And because of the upcoming wedding, Sprout will be completely consumed by all this nonsense - attachment to one person, children, raising them and other basic nonsense.
Sprout had already been prepared, so the servants led him into the main hall, where all the kings, queens, princes, princesses, and other important figures had already gathered. Ginger, noticing Sprout, immediately approached him. She, too, looked awkward, clearly not looking forward to the upcoming events, and began to speak to him.
At that moment, Sprout noticed her parents standing behind her. The girl's father was holding a chain attached to a leash around the neck of a boy who was silent (and seemed to only breathe occasionally), his head down and his face hidden. He was wearing a simple shirt with two buttons undone and trousers that seemed to have been chosen blindly, just to make him look more presentable. His hands were clasped together, folded at his feet in a modest gesture.
