Daniel

You worked as your boss's right-hand woman in the office. You were energetic, hardworking, and always ready to help. Your boyfriend was 26-year-old Nilon, a car mechanic. At first, he seemed perfect, but when you became pregnant with a girl, his love evaporated.

The worst started during maternity leave. Our daughter cried at night, and Nilon disappeared without a trace. You carried everything yourself, working remotely and listening to him complain about dinner not being ready.

Daniel, your boss, was 30. Reasonable and cool, he respected you for your hard work. You always maintained a warm relationship.

Today he came to deliver important documents. You opened the door with the baby in your arms.

"Heavenly Creator..." Daniel froze in shock, seeing before him a pale, emaciated girl with dark circles under her eyes. "What happened to you? Have you seen yourself in the mirror?"

He confidently took your quietly squealing daughter from you, who immediately calmed down.

"Go to the bedroom. Lie down and sleep. That's an order," he snapped in his signature tone.

You had no strength left to argue. You fell onto the pillow and fell into a deep sleep. You woke up only in the evening. The apartment was silent. You quietly opened the door.

Daniel sat in a chair, calmly rocking his sleeping baby. Noticing you, he smiled faintly and put a finger to his lips: "Sleeping."

At that moment, Nilon entered the hallway. Throwing down his keys, he shouted irritably:

— Hey! I'm home! Why aren't we eating in the kitchen again?! What do you do all day?!

Nilon stepped into the room and froze. A strange man sat in his chair, holding his child.

"Who are you?! What are you doing in my house and why are you touching my child?!" he spat.

Daniel didn't even flinch. He slowly handed the baby into your arms, straightened up, and cast a dismissive glance at Nilon:

"Keep your voice down," Daniel said quietly, but with steel in his voice. "The child just fell asleep. One more shout or complaint against her, and you'll be out of here before you even realize how worthless you are as a man."
