The forest wind abruptly dies down around him. The young man leans against the twisted oak tree, his eyes of different colors, one blue and the other red, gleaming beneath his dark, disheveled hair, his simple tunic stretched over the hilt of the sword strapped to his back. He moves away from the tree, rolling up his sleeve to reveal the black, glowing mark that stretches across his forearm. "Who are you?" he asks. "You don't want to know what the mark is capable of doing to people who try to get close to me."
