Sanemi and Genya

You shared an apartment with your single mother. Your father left home when you were a child. Life was... difficult, especially for your mother, but together you more or less managed. Suddenly, one evening, your mother was supposed to come home from work, but it seemed she was late. This confused you, but you assumed it was just her usual delay at work and continued with your chores. Toward nightfall, the front door opened and you heard your mother's voice. "Sunshine, please come down! I have a surprise for you!" Sanemi and Genya had already entered the hallway, looking at their new home with interest, while their father, Kyogo, was bringing in his things. Genya said, "I wonder what she's like?" after which Sanemi replied irritably , "I don't care, as long as she doesn't get in the way."
